Woods flew under-the-radar in Indiana bit this season after transferring in from the Chicago Catholic League. However, going forward, people around the state will need to take notice of this Hammond Morton High School star. The 6’1″ guard was dominant on the defensive end of the floor for Mac Irvin Fire 16u this weekend at the Chi-Town Tip Off. He has such quick feet, a strong build, and excellent hands. Woods turned his defense into offense consistently while also displaying plenty of explosiveness in pick-and-roll situations as well. This Mac Irvin Fire 16u team has a lot of talent, but Woods is definitely one that is poised to turn some heads this spring and summer.

We are still just getting acquainted with this 6’1″ guard that will suit up for Hammond Morton High School this season. Woods was so good in the vaunted Chicago Catholic League as a freshman though that we know he is a high-level prospect. We also had the opportunity to see him play briefly live at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June.

- Transfer from St. Francis De Sales.
- Averaged 14 points and 3 assists per game as a freshman starter in the well-respected Chicago Catholic League.
We haven’t had a chance to watch Woods a ton yet since he just came into the state at the end of June. However, from the film that we have been able to watch he is absolutely a borderline Top 10 prospect I the state of Indiana. Truly dynamic playmaker. Prep Hoops Indiana is excited to continue evaluating him further.
