Some have performed on the largest stage in Kentucky high school basketball, while others try to lead their team to the top this season. Here’s a look at some of the top Class “A” prospects in the 2025 class!
Austin Sperry Austin Sperry 6’3″ | SG Breathitt County | 2025 State KY knows how to perform in the spotlight. The current junior was the leading scorer on a state tournament team last season, putting up almost 100 points in postseason play. He is an impressive rebounder as well, averaging over six rebounds a contest at 6’3. Sperry is definitely someone you want to keep an eye on the next two years.
Hayden had a lot of success as a sophomore in a new system under first-year head coach, Jordan Gilbert. Leading Green County in scoring and rebounding, he has a high upside as a junior. Opponents should always know where Blakeman is on the floor. He can certainly score in bunches.
Alongside a talented senior group at Evangel Christian comes junior, Ben Mukadi Ben Mukadi 6’8″ | C Evangel Christian | 2025 State KY . Mukadi will push the Eagle’s frontcourt to potentially be the one of the best in the Commonwealth. Using his length, Mukadi is a force underneath the basket. Ben takes high-percentage shots and has a huge role on the boards.
Aaron Gutman Aaron Gutman 6’7″ | SF Walton-Verona | 2025 State KY can hurt you in many ways. He can drive past you for a flush or knock down a three in your face. Gutman is a do-it-all type of player and is someone you can trust having the ball in crunch time. The All 8th Region member is bound to have another solid season.

Cannon Young Cannon Young 6’7″ | C Clinton County | 2025 State KY is one of the many great players in the fourth region. He has a great touch in the paint and is fundamentally sound. Young is a player you want to have on your team. With a Clinton County roster that had four double digit scorers last season, Cannon played team basketball and does what it takes to win.
Andersen Green Andersen Green 6’3″ | SG Lexington Christian | 2025 State KY has proved himself as a top Class “A” prospect. He already led LCA to the All “A” state tournament last season by scoring a combined 48 points in three games. In the most important games of the season, Green stepped up. Andersen is a tough player that has promising future ahead.
Lual is the third leading scorer on Danville Christian, but his 6’11 frame allows him to impact games in mutiple ways. His 9.5 rebound average, put him in the top 50 rebounders in the state. Ayiei is also a solid rim protector. As a freshman in the Class “A” state tournament, he recorded 4 blocks in his first round game.
