Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
A high academic guard who can score inside and out, Andersen has been a top player in the 11th region for the past few seasons. Green has what can be described as an “old school game” but he knows how to get to his spots and can score at the rim, from three or in the midrange.

Green is having a big junior season for a very talented LCA squad that is heavy on Juniors. An effective scorer who can get a bucket all over the court and especially effective in the mid-post area. Green has “old man game” but he uses it very effectively.

Andersen’s LCA squad fell short to a talented Ballard team in the last game of the day but it wasn’t for lack of effort on Green’s behalf. Andy had 35 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. He shot the ball well and scored at every level.

Andersen showed up on Saturday and did what he does. He played smart, made very few mistakes and played super hard. Green has been a true three level scorer and isn’t afraid to take smaller guards to the post when the opportunity presents itself. Green should be on the radar for every D2/D3 and NAIA school in Kentucky.

A high IQ prospect who can score on the low block, in the midrange or from three, Green is one of the best prospects in Lexington. He needs to continue improving his overall athleticism and showing he can guard kids like Chenault who have a quick first step but Andersen projects as a scholarship player.

has proved himself as a top Class “A” prospect. He already led LCA to the All “A” state tournament last season by scoring a combined 48 points in three games. In the most important games of the season, Green stepped up. Andersen is a tough player that has promising future ahead.

Green is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Chenault in the sense that his game is based on skill and shot making more than athleticism. Andersen has a high basketball IQ and great feel for the game and has shown that he can score the ball from anywhere. He uses his strong frame to finish through opposing defenders and get to the free throw line.

LCA is like Evangel in that you could put several kids on this list and all would make sense. Green is the Eagles leading scorer but they also get solid contributions from Tyler Hall,

Andersen is part of a young core at LCA that is maybe a little ahead of schedule in their development and looking dangerous in the 11th region. Last night, Green hit the shot to send the game against Dunbar to overtime and then hit the game winner in OT. Andy is averaging 16 points and 5 rebounds per game with really solid shooting numbers. His Sophomore year is off to a strong start.

Green is a versatile scorer that has a great feel for the game for only being a sophomore. Has good size and strength that can play any of the guard spots. Good shooter, especially off the catch. Poses as a mismatch for defenders with his ability to put the ball on the floor and shoot.
