Adair has quietly loaded up one of their best rosters in recent years and Blane looks like he’ll be a very solid contributor for them this year. Blane has been known for his shooting and that was on display this past Saturday again. After shooting 42% from three last season, he probably shot close to 50% on Saturday at camp.
Pasley was one of the youngest prospects at camp and one of the only 2026 players in attendance but that didn’t slow him down. Standing 6’6 and with a frame that has plenty of room to add bulk to, Matthew played both inside and out on Saturday. It’s early for him but he’s one to track in the 11th region.
Lacon has been steadily making a name for himself over the last 18 months or so. Henderson is going to need him to step up this year and play both point and shooting guard for a Colonel team with a big hole thanks to G Thomas graduating. An aggressive driver, Lacon did Lacon things on Saturday and scored the ball at a high level over the course of the day.
Coming down from Fairfield, Ohio, Ingram was one of the most steady players at the point guard spot on Saturday. Capable of getting to the rim or making pull ups and floaters, Cashawn was solid all day long, even when 3 pointers weren’t falling.
Highlights
Kellen was hampered a little in the later games by an aggravated hamstring injury but he showed the ability to get to the rim and knock down open jumpers. He also puts in maximum effort on the defensive end, even when he got slowed down a little by his gimpy hamstring. He should be an all region type of player this season.
Highlights
Sanders came to camp and showed very well for himself. He was not only able to knock down threes consistently but Dayshaun also may have been the quickest player on the court. He has a very quick first step and was able to finish at a high rate. Sanders looked good playing on and off the ball and seemed like a great teammate.
Perkins was not on my radar before Saturday but he showed very well for himself and looks like he could make a difference for Butler this season. Jayden, like Sanders, is very quick with a nice handle. Both being on the same team made it hard for opposing guards to stay in front on defense.
Andersen showed up on Saturday and did what he does. He played smart, made very few mistakes and played super hard. Green has been a true three level scorer and isn’t afraid to take smaller guards to the post when the opportunity presents itself. Green should be on the radar for every D2/D3 and NAIA school in Kentucky.
One of the new names coming out of camp, Morton was very impressive with his activity level around the rim and was comfortable in pick and pop or pick and roll situations all day long. Standing 6’8 with a 6’10 wingspan and blessed with a 34 on his ACT, Kye is an absolute no brainer for many schools and should be a difference maker for Coach Croft and Mayfield this Winter.
