Ball State Elite Camp – Top Performers, Part Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>August is, by far, the quietest month on the calendar for us in terms of content. The grassroots season is in the rearview mirror and school is just starting up so formal workouts have not started yet. However, we still make sure to take advantage of opportunities to get in the gym when events are taking place. On Saturday Ball State hosted an Elite Camp and invited Prep Hoops Indiana to be in attendance. It was a very well-attended event with a lot of talented prospects. He has continued to rapidly improve as a three-point shooter and ball-handler while still possessing some of the best athletic and physical tools in the state of Indiana. However, over the course of the summer playing with Progeny 16u on the UAA Circuit the 6'0" guard showcased his ball handling and playmaking abilities. Bowman had his full offensive repertoire on display at the Ball State Elite Camp. The 6'6" wing has excellent positional size and length that he pairs with impressive athleticism and guard-like skills. He can stretch the floor as a shooter, handle the ball to attack the basket, or make plays for his teammates. Burgess' length and athleticism translate to the defensive end of the floor as well. Davis was the one that caught our attention the most. He is explosive yet under control with the ball in his hands. The pace at which he plays while possessing truly elite court vision and passing ability is far beyond his age. Davis is billed as one of the top guards nationally in the incoming freshman class and it was very easy to see why. Denny was on fire from beyond the arc making a series of tougher and tougher shots off of the dribble. He also showcased his skill level attacking the basket and finishing in a variety of ways. The 6'5" guard had a poster-worthy dunk early on in the event and then continued to attack the basket with authority. He is so smooth and fluid off of the bounce for a young guard his size. He was scoring on the rim run, on the roll, and was effective driving it in a straight line from the perimeter. His size, length, and athleticism made it really hard for opposing defenders to matchup with him. The bouncy 6'6" left-handed forward shot the ball very well from three-point range at Ball State Elite Camp and finished above the rim multiple times. His inside-outside versatility and athleticism make him a very intriguing prospect for college programs to follow entering his junior season at Warsaw High School.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
