keeps on beating on with each viewing. The 6’7″ rising junior forward from Chesterton High School played in front of a handful of high-major coaches at the Charlie Hughes Showcase and certainly showed them that he is capable of playing at that level. He showcased his interior strength as a finisher, his athleticism off of the bounce as a driver, and his perimeter skill set as a shooter. Additionally, he is one of the most athletic and versatile defenders in the state. More and more offers should be coming his way in a hurry.

continues. He played very well once again on Tuesday night showcasing his two-way versatility. The 6’7″ forward is continuing to shoot it well from three-point range this spring and summer. However, he also drives it right from the perimeter and uses his athleticism and strength to score at the rim. Then, defensively, he is disruptive as a shot blocker and excellent at ending possessions with a defensive rebound.

We started really pumping Basila as a national prospect in mid-April after seeing how much he had improved even just from the high schools Eason. He then received an offer from Oral Roberts during the live period and now looked like the best player on the floor at the Indiana All-Star Futures Game. Basila, a 6’7″ forward from Chesterton High School earned Most Valuable Player honors finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

. The 6’7″ athlete had an excellent showing on Saturday for Indiana Elite 16u which included a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the game we watched in the morning. His athleticism translates to excellent rebounding and a high-upside on the defensive end. He was also effective on the roll consistently creating separation and finishing with strength and explosiveness inside. Basila’s strong play landed him his first offer from Oral Roberts.

. When it comes to raw, athletic potential, Basila has all that with his strong frame, 6’8 height, and ability to play off the bounce at an elite level. He is true center right now and plays strictly around the rim and with his skill, his potential is limitless. Watch Chesterton this when they face Crown Point and Lake Central.

This 6’8″ sophomore big man is making some serious strides as a player. His strength and athleticism continue to really stand out, but his offensive skill level is coming along. Basila knocked in a three-point shot early in the game and consistently finished around the rim, including a couple of big dunks, on his way to a game-high 19 points as Chesterton defeated Lawrence Central 72-52.
