The AAU season has all but officially wrapped up as we wind down from what has been an exciting last few months of basketball. From April to July, our prospects from the state of Indiana have put in a lot of work playing in a host of different events in multiple locations throughout the country. Our Prep Hoops Indiana Team has gotten eyes on nearly every prospect in the state and have been able to evaluate them. Going back and looking through my notes on the players I have seen, I thought this would be a good time to talk about 10 under-the-radar prospects that stood out to me. Here are the first five players.

Platt was a player that I got a chance to see back at the PH Indiana State Tournament and he came away as one of the more impressive prospects that I saw. It is clear to me that he is wired to score the ball and plays with such a high motor at all times. A player that can play both on and off the ball, Platt can score at multiple levels and can get hot from deep or just being relentless in the lane.

One of the better under-the-radar power forward that I had a chance to watch this summer was [player_tooltip player_id='2560417' first='Thomas' last='Kostbade'] of Chesterton HS. Kostbade is the "Robin" to [player_tooltip player_id='2878216' first='Bradley' last='Basila']'s "Batman" in the frontcourt but Kostbade is capable of being a difference maker in his own right. He plays with a high motor, knows how to remain active on the floor, and is a littler versatile with improving skills as a scorer.

A lot of eyes will always go right to 2029 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2636078' first='Micah' last='Mohler'] for Austin, but in the backcourt there is a lot of talent that often times flies a little under-the-radar at times. One of those guys is [player_tooltip player_id='2538909' first='Tracen' last='Roush']. This past summer, one of the hardest working and competitive players on the floor that I saw was was Roush. Plays with toughness and skill to be a secondary scorer from deep.

Crown Point is going to look a little different this season but that leads into may players getting some opportunities to contribute much more. One of the players that I saw this summer that I think could step into a nice role as a junior is forward [player_tooltip player_id='2369889' first='Maddox' last='Teixeira']. The 6'4 forward out of Crown Point is a true inside-out type of player with great physical tools. Based off what I saw, he could be a mismatch type of player long term.

The Homestead Spartans are looking like they are going to be a contender at the Class 4A level due to the talent and depth that they have. When it comes to the depth in the frontcourt, one player that caught my eye these past few months was [player_tooltip player_id='2560341' first='Braylon' last='Mcniece']. A player with legit size in the past, Mcniece is a tough bucket getter with good IQ for his position. He could be in for a breakout junior season coming up.
