These top ten are based on college potential, which often exceeds individual statistics. Every member of the top ten holds at least one D1 offer and most hold several. Here’s a look at the top Shooting Guard prospects in the updated 2025 rankings. This does not include players ranked in the top 10 of the class.

Continue ReadingLikely the most entertaining player to watch in the 25 class, Chenault is an explosive athlete with a 38 inch standing vertical. Aveion makes highlight plays every night out and may have led the state in transition dunks if that were a stat that was kept.
Andy was a new name in our rankings and is a hidden gem in Northern Kentucky. A big guard who can put up big scoring numbers, Johnson is a prototypical 2 guard who can catch and shoot or attack off the dribble. Schools in Kentucky and Ohio should take notice.
A high academic guard who can score inside and out, Andersen has been a top player in the 11th region for the past few seasons. Green has what can be described as an “old school game” but he knows how to get to his spots and can score at the rim, from three or in the midrange.
Another new name in the rankings this time around, Paige is a bigger guard with a quick first step who can get to the rim and finish through contact or knock down open threes. Tre is a player who should be on the radar of schools at the NAIA level or could go Juco and emerge as a D1 player eventually.
Another high academic scoring guard, Lyons is tough and knows how to score the ball from anywhere on the court. Layken has been a top player in the 5th region for several years now and will end his career as one of the best to ever play at Taylor County.
