Here I will be previewing the top ranked teams in the 3A classification that could go far in the state tournament. The rankings I will be looking at is the WIAA RPI rankings. I will be previewing each classification, you can read the 1A teams here : https://prephoops.com/2023/02/top-ranked-1a-teams-as-we-enter-post-season-play/ ; the 2A teams here : https://prephoops.com/2023/02/top-ranked-2a-teams-as-we-enter-post-season-play/ ; the 3A teams here : https://prephoops.com/2023/02/top-ranked-3a-teams-as-we-enter-post-season-play/. Here are some 4A teams to watch for.

Federal Way 20-1 (13-0 league)

Federal Way has been dominate all season long. Their only loss comes from a team out of the state of Washington. That team is Perry HS (AZ) and they have one loss, which was a game they should've won. Federal Way has many big wins including Ironwood HS (AZ) who is a top team in the state of Arizona. They have pretty much dominated every game against a team within the state of Washington, so that just might continue headed into postseason play. They are led by arguably the best group of seniors on one team. [player_tooltip player_id='923104' first='Isaiah' last='Afework'], [player_tooltip player_id='1270612' first='Vaughn' last='Weems'], Dace Pleasent, [player_tooltip player_id='1633559' first='Colton' last='West'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1270688' first='Dae'Sean' last='Johnson-Holiman'] are the core seniors that hold this team together. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1450499' first='Kofi' last='Peyton'] is a new addition to this squad and fits perfectly for what they need. They are stacked with talent and are clicking well now, we will see if someone can stop them.

Mount Si 19-2 (12-1 league)

Mount Si has a stacked roster as well that includes a top 5 player in the 2023 class ([player_tooltip player_id='923112' first='Miles' last='Heide']) and 2 players in the top 15 of the 2024 class ([player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1450494' first='Blake' last='Forrest']). That doesn't even include [player_tooltip player_id='1177126' first='Bennett' last='Olujic'] who is a top 50 player in the 2023 class. Guards Hennig and Forrest are one of the best guard duos in the entire state. They work off each other extremely well and with Heide and Olujic in the mix, the floor gets stretched out nicely and Mount Si has many options to go too. They have a non-league loss to a very, very tough Kentridge team. Their other loss was to another tough team in Skyline but they were able to win the next game against them, splitting the series. The two could very well match-up again in the playoffs.

Skyline 17-3 (12-1 league)

Skyline is a team that welcomed in a couple new transfers this year in [player_tooltip player_id='923125' first='Nahmier' last='Robinson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1451029' first='Nyale' last='Robinson']. [player_tooltip player_id='1416698' first='Dylan' last='Reilly'] is another player who contributes a lot for this team. He has the capability to take over a game as well and get to his spots. Colorado State football commit Tj Crandall adds a lot of athleticism to the team as well and is a valuable asset to the squad. They beat the tough Mount Si team I mentioned before, but also took a loss to them. They also lost to a very good Garfield team, who could very well be the best team in the state. They lost a tight one to Tahoma, who is a solid team who could make a run themselves. Skyline has a plethora of scorers, so any of them can take over in any given game, which is why they are a dangerous team.

Jackson 15-3 (6-2 league)

Jackson is led by 2023 graduate [player_tooltip player_id='1416319' first='Sylas' last='Williams'], who has been on an absolute tear this season. He has many 20/30 point games and usually pulls down 10-20 rebounds any given night. His 6'7" frame helps with that but also makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. He can step out and hit the 3 as well and that also makes him more dangerous on the court. They beat a solid Mark Morris team early in the season and split games against a tough Mariner squad as well as Glacier Peak. They matched up well against Arlington and took home a close win late in the season. That will help with momentum as we enter postseason play.

Kentridge 16-4 (9-3 league)

Kentridge has played a very tough schedule this season. They have played non-league games against Mariner, Mt Spokane, Timberline, Camas, and Mount Si. Mt Spokane was the only one of those teams able to beat them. They lost to Auburn, Tahoma, and Federal Way in league games. All of those teams have cases of their own for why they could make a run this postseason. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1270690' first='Elijah' last='Cain'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1270691' first='Jalon' last='Blackwell'] have been leading the way all season, both stepping up in a big way for the team. Xzavier and Dominic Randhawa are solid players for the team too. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1450500' first='Jamari' last='Harris'] is a name to keep an eye on too as he could have a big impact to the team late in the season.
