Romich has consistently been a big part of Kimball Union’s attack this season. Against an extremely talented Winchendon team, it was the 6-foot-4 guard’s confidence and conviction from three that allowed them to pull away. Sure, Scroggins and Smith manned the paint, but Romich’s ability to make the defense play him from deep was KUA’s secret sauce. Against a Cushing Academy team with great rim protection and perimeter defenders, he’ll probably need to make some more shots for his squad to come away with a win.

Romich continued to impress across the summer AAU circuit, summer NEPSAC showcases, and other elite camps. The 6-foot-3 guard continues getting stronger physically, and it’s paying dividends for his ability to play against other scholarship level guards, especially on the defensive end. Furthermore, I’ve seen too many ridiculous shooting performances from him to not believe that he’s one of the best shooters in the region. Even though his shot looks a bit odd, it goes in with amazing consistency. He should be a key cog for KUA this season and will probably garner some low scholarship and high level D3 looks depending on how he plays.

Romich is one of the better conditioned guards in the region. The 6-foot-3 rising senior is always in attack mode and does a great job using his downhill speed and quickness in transition; he has a good handle and solid athleticism. Romich’s superpower is his shooting, though; despite his odd-looking release, he strokes it from three and has range just as soon as he crosses half court. He might need to improve the quickness of his shot, but the accuracy is here to stay. I would slot the Kimball Union CG as a high D3 player at this point, but a strong season could change that.

Romich is a pleasure to watch play the game of basketball. The 6-foot-3 guard can absolutely stroke it from three — and has range a few steps beyond the line — but he can also get to the rack with his quickness and strength. He can play both on and off the ball and can score in a variety of ways, but he also isn’t as much of a “true scorer” as some of the other guys on this list, because he leans more towards finding his teammates on spray outs and dump downs once he punctures the paint (which he does quite often). Big opportunity for Romich on Kimball Union Academy’s squad this upcoming season.

Romich, a member of the 17U HGSL squad, is a heady guard out of Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire. The 6’3″ combo guard is a high IQ offensive threat that can score at all three levels, make plays for others, and control the tempo of the game. A lefty, he uses his size to his advantage on the perimeter, while also showing the ability to keep defenders off balance by changing speeds, playing off hesitation dribbles, and utilizing pass fakes. On top of that, he’s a big time scorer that makes shots in bunches from behind the arc.

is a two-guard who can fling the ball from deep. With compact and nearly flawless mechanics, he can shoot effectively when ball-handling or playing off, creating problems for opposing defenses in the process. Off the ball, Romich is awesome in catch-and-shoot scenarios and has great relocation ability to get himself the perfect looks. On the ball, he can step back off the dribble or side-step to his right and shoot over contests. Romich keeps his balance in all of the shots that he takes, which is very hard to do, and it’s also why he is so consistent and productive in this area. Programs and coaches needing a flamethrower from beyond the arch should follow him heavily as he will be very helpful to a team needing that hole filled.
