He’s gigantic, extremely athletic, loves to make big plays and will posterize your center. The ceiling he has is arguably one of the highest in the state and he’s quickly becoming a serious prospect in 2028. His upside, shot blocking, transitions scoring and versatility should have the college coaches running to him this season.

Sheard has been the talk of the offseason on Long Island and Uniondale seems to be gearing up for a big year. He comes over from Kimball Union with a lot of promise and the expectations are growing by the day. The size, athleticism, dunks, blocks and energy have college coaches reaching out. His trajectory continues to point up, he should have a legit role plus he might lead Long Island in rebounds and posters.

Although Uniondale ultimately fell to Xaverian in a defensive battle, Sheard carried much of the offensive load by scoring 16 of his team’s 28 points. The athletic 6-foot-7 forward high-points the ball as a rebounder and possesses good touch extending into the mid-range. Those qualities allow him to generate production without needing the offense to consistently run plays for him. Sheard should be one of Long Island’s top players this season and has shown the tools of a clear Division I prospect.

Sheard is no longer secret as he’s already started making noise at his new home in Uniondale. The long athletic big man has serious bounce, great timing on the boards, he blocks shots and can change the whole game with one his thunderous slams. He’s going to be a fan favorite, he’s taking steps in bis development, he’s getting stronger and should be the top prospect in Long Island this season. Major upside for Sheard.

Sheard has a chance to be a dominant interior presence for Uniondale this season. His combination of strength and athleticism allows him to control the glass and protect the rim, but what stands out is how well he understands how to use those tools. He does his work early, establishes position and creates an advantage before the ball ever reaches him. As his skill level continues to expand, Sheard has the physical foundation to become an increasingly difficult matchup.

One of the most explosive players on the circuit regardless of class once he jumped on Crown 17s in May, Sheard has been great all Spring and Summer. A springy athlete who finishes everything around the rim and blocks shots, his best basketball still lays well ahead of him. Playing with Uniondale this season he will be one of the best players on Long Island.

The hard playing forward was up to his usual tricks, proving to be a force at the rim. He rebounded well on both ends of the floor and caught a handful of lobs as he ran pick and role with his guards to perfection. A pogo-stick athlete that plays larger than his listed 6-foot-7, Sheard has gotten better over the Spring and Summer. Keep an eye out for the talented forward.

Sheard is a hyper-active post player who is just starting to scratch the surface as a prospect. He moves well for his size and uses that to his advantage when he is going up against post player who are slower than him. He was a threat to show of his athleticism by being a rim rocker and is a threat from the dunker spots. Was glad to see him making an impact on both ends of the floor in the game I saw of his. Sheard contested shots frequently.
