O’Neil, a guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, is a consumate floor general that shows an ability to run an offense at a really high level in the half-court. He’s got a low center of gravity and the ability to quick change speeds and directions, allowing him repeatedly get by his initial defender off the bounce. He’s strong and shows the ability to play through contact as a driver, while also finishing well with creativity around the rim. As a shooter, he could still develop some more consistency from behind the arc, but is incredibly efficient in the mid-range. Defensively, he’s willing to guard any spot on the floor and plays much bigger than his size on that end. He’ll help a Division III team win a lot of games over the next four years and should be a priority for any programs looking for a true lead guard.

O’Neil, a post-graduate guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy, has done a great job of adapting to a higher level of competition, while continuing to make winning plays on both ends of the floor. The lead guard is a shifty ball-handler that does a nice job of getting into the paint off the bounce and then spraying it out to teammates for easy shot attempts. He can score it over size in the paint, knocks down shots from behind the arc, and shows some comfort as a late clock creator. His decision making with the ball in his hands stands out, as does his willingness to sit in a stance and work on the defensive end of the floor. He creates turnovers at a high level and does a nice job of playing with strength on that end of the floor, allowing him to guard three or four positions effectively. Currently uncommitted, he’s got plenty of D3 interest and ultimately, will help whatever program he ends up at with his leadership, playmaking, and defensive intensity.

O’Neil, out of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, checks in at #26 among the point guards and #170 overall. O’Neil has had an impressive start to his post-graduate season, showing great poise with the ball in his hands and the ability to process quickly and at a high level. He does a nice job of initiating offense, can make shots from behind the arc, and rarely turns the basketball over. While he does a nice job on the offensive end of the floor, his commitment to the defensive side of the ball may be more impressive. He mixes it up for rebounds, moves his feet to stay in front of opposing ball-handlers, and is willing to give his body up for loose balls. The uncommitted guard should have plenty of options to choose from at the Division III level.

O’Neil is a blur on the basketball court and is exactly the type of guy you want running your offense. The 5-foot-9 guard is bulky and strong, so he holds his line well on drives and uses his physicality and speed/quickness to get consistent paint touches. He was one of the more impressive passers at the entire showcase and played the right way throughout, even though many players resorted to isolation ball. He makes excellent reads at the nail and rim and is phenomenal in the pick and roll. He won’t wow you with scoring, but he can certainly light it up a bit if you need him to. Definite D3 player.

O’Neil is a 5’9″ guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy. The 2026 prospect is a talented playmaker that knows how to get to his spots off the bounce and finds teammates in positions to score as a facilitator. He does a nice job of using his low center of gravity to his advantage, keeps his dribble alive to keep plays alive, and is a crafty scorer over size in the paint. He makes great decisions in transition, has the ability to make catch and shoot jumpers, and makes the little plays that don’t show up in the box score. Defensively, he really competes and is a strong defender at the point of attack due to his ability to move laterally, use his quick hands to his advantage, and play physically on the ball.
