About a year ago we made the decision to move Lampley into the number one spot in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. Now, after this weekend, I called my shot that Lampley will eventually become a five-star prospect nationally. The 6’6″ guard has such a special and unique combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill. He is so hard to stop physically while possessing the skill of a point guard. Lampley really dominated the competition for Meanstreets 16u EYBL throughout the course of the weekend eventually leading them to a Runner-Up finish.

Landon put on a show for Meanstreets in a win over Midwest Wildcats on Saturday. Heading into the event I knew what he could do as an above-the-rim finisher, but what really stood out was his passing. Landon could take a defensive rebound, weave through a couple of defenders, and then thread the needle to a teammate slashing to the basket. He was delivering some no look passes that caught defenders off guard, and had no problem accurately fitting the ball through tight gaps that not many players would recognize. Added in a handful of highlight reel dunks throughout the game.

turned it on for the Red Devils when they needed it the most. It felt like he was the driving-force behind the comeback Pike had making so many plays in the lane and around the rim. He also fined with a team-high 14 points.

The top player in the in-state class of 2028 has been a huge impact in essentially his first varsity season. The uber athletic and physical wing is a matchup nightmare at his age. He has a quick first step and plays with a physically going to the basket that makes his a tough cover for anybody. When he gets two feet in the paint he’s an aggressive finisher that’s looking to play above the rim. Defensively he’s capable of guarding multiple positions and is aggressive in passing lanes leading the Red Devils in steals this season at 2.5 per game.
