On Friday I had a chance to get eyes on EG10 2026 and almost right away, Newman-Nwodika stood out to me by just how much of a load he is in the paint. While he is shorter for a post player, there is simply just no moving this guy in the paint and will always seemingly have a chance to get a rebound in his area just due to his size and strength. Thought he was impactful around the basket scoring pretty consistently with a soft touch. A under-the-radar big man in the 2026 instate class.

Football may very well be the ticket to Newman-Nwodika’s future, but that doesn’t diminish what he can get done on the hardwood. A very physical and athletic forward, the 6’5″ Pike High School rising senior makes up for being a bit undersized around the basket height wise. He has excellent footwork, plays through contact with ease, and has a non-stop motor on the boards. Newman-Nwodika makes his debut in our rankings at #82 overall.

It is hard not to love the size and physicality of this 6’4″-6’5″ forward from Pike High School. However, his athleticism really stood out on Sunday as well with Nwodika turning in one of the most impressive, poster-worthy dunks of the weekend. He then immediately followed up the dunk with a big time block on the defensive end and then another tough transition finish. The way he moves at his size is very impressive. Played with a talented EG10 17u group this weekend.

There are few players at The Stage that are as physically imposing on floor than Nwodika. While he is not the biggest post player, he is certainly one of the strongest naturally and he makes things so difficult for anyone that matches up to him. Scored really well around the rim and contested a bunch shots on the defensive end, even having a couple of blocks in the game I saw as well.

One of the standouts for an EG10 team that won the inaugural Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament and had a strong showing at the Grit Region Finals. The 6’4″ forward is incredibly physical around the basket with the ability to play through contact and dominate on the glass. Newman-Nwodika plays with a non-stop motor which helps him overcome being a bit undersized in the front court. Really like his defensively versatility and toughness in the paint. There is some intriguing young talent at Pike High School right now and he is one who could really breakout this coming season.

A dominant performance on the interior. Physical 6’6” PF put back lots misses on the offensive glass while also finishing through contact and drawing fouls. Converted at a strong rate from the free-throw line in a blowout win for EG10.

You won’t find many players in the Class of 2026 with more impressive physical tools than this prospect out of Pike High School. Newman-Nwodika is incredibly physical and plays with an excellent motor that most opponents simply cannot keep up with. That was certainly the case at the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament as he helped lead EG10 2026 to a perfect 5-0 record. Newman-Nwodika dominates the game around the basket and is a high-level rebounder on both ends of the floor. He averaged 14.6 points per game which included a dominant 23-point performance in his third game of the day on Saturday afternoon.

Newman-Nwodika is a junkyard dog in the very best sense of the term. He is extraordinarily physical, very active around the basket on both ends of the floor, and plays with a relentless motor. The 6’4″ forward from Pike High School played a key role in leading EG10 2026 to a perfect 4-0 weekend at The Stage. He capped off the event by scoring 18 points in their win on Sunday afternoon against Q6 All-Stars Anderson 2026 out of Florida.
