Abuk has the size, versatility, and upside to be a major X-factor if consistency hits. He has moments where he looks like one of the top players and others where he’s floating. Staying locked in the entire time will be what makes or breaks the team. No flipping of the switch. Abuk stretches defenses with perimeter shooting, scores inside with power, and controls the glass. His passing and decision-making show real maturity as he’s made strides each time we’ve seen him. When he balances aggression with feel, his ceiling jumps. He’s one of the more intriguing risers who can impact both ends this season. 

Abuk has really come on strong lately, showing why he’s quickly becoming one of the most complete players on the floor. With his size and range, he can stretch defenses by knocking down shots from the perimeter or take it inside and score with power. He’s a huge presence who knows how to use his frame effectively and also dominate the boards and controlling the paint on both ends. What makes him even more impressive is his basketball IQ. Abuk makes smart, unselfish passes and understands when to take over and when to get his teammates involved. That balance of skill, size and awareness has taken his game to another level, and it’s clear why he’s climbing the rankings. Big things are ahead for Abuk this season

Abuk is a physically gifted athlete who offers intrigue when watching him, and with his size, can be a Swiss-Army-Knife type of player for Eaglecrest. He’s a player that I feel will make a HUGE leap this year as he should be a standout for Eaglecrest. Abuk shows versatility on both ends of the floor, has a motor and is impactful. This summer, it was great to see him step into the spotlight as a player who alters the game quickly. He’s aggressive, gets inside of the defense and scores in bunches, and on top of that can defend multiple positions. We want to see that all on display at the showcase as he has a chance to turn heads, and I feel colleges should be on if they want a 6’4 game-changer. 

Abuk brings a rare mix of size and guard like skills that make him a matchup problem. He’s comfortable handling the ball, creating off the dribble, and running the offense when needed. He can beat opponents off the dribble which allows him to attack the rim effectively. This summer he has shown accuracy in his shooting making him a real threat from both mid range and beyond the arc. Defensively, Abuk plays with energy and focus. He uses his length to force turnovers and disrupt passing lanes, while staying disciplined on the ball. With his versatility and poise, Abuk is set to take on a major role this season and could become one of the most impactful players on the floor every night

Abuk has been a pleasant surprise, one of those players who makes the game look smooth and effortless on both ends of the floor. He’s got size to bang with the bigs down low, but also has the handles and court vision to run the offense like a guard. He’s got a quick first step, glides to the rim, and finishes with some crafty, highlight worthy layups. Abuk can knock down threes and midrange jumpers with a super clean release. On defense he stays glued to his man, active hands, and creates a lot of chaos with steals and deflections. You can tell he takes pride in that side of the game too. All around, Abuk brings a calm confidence and impact that lifts his team every time he steps on the court

Abuk is a lanky wing whose defensive abilities should get him a crack at the rotation this coming season, effective against backcourt and wing opponents. His high motor makes him a thorn in the side of opponents, flying all over the place to contest shots or grab loose balls. He found success for Hardwood with his finishing around the rim, most active as a roller and slasher. His continued growth in offensive versatility and overall strength will be essential to his long term success at the varsity level. He has a chance to be a legitimate perimeter defender over the coming years, bringing notable upside on the defensive end of the floor.
