Nelan emerged as one of the more intriguing wings this summer, whom we did not know too much about heading into the season. At 6’3 with a strong frame, he uses his size to attack mismatches and make plays in transition, and that is something that will have him earning more minutes and possibly swinging on varsity. He rebounds, cuts to either finish or open the floor, and finishes well around the rim. His ability to impact games without dominating the ball stands out, but you can also trust to put the ball in his hands and for him to make the right play. As he develops confidence, expect Nelan to keep climbing, but he’s a player to keep on the radar as I expect him to move up in the rankings.

Nelan is a player that we did not know much about heading into the event, but he was a player who turned heads as he used his size to dominate inside. He rebounded with force, converted second-chance opportunities, and showed solid touch finishing around the basket, and that was certainly on display on 3 on 3. He played with effort and kept plays alive, battled on the glass, and scored in traffic. His aggressiveness and physicality gave his team a steady interior presence, making him a reliable contributor inside.
