About Chibi
Expert Analysis
Jack Pfeiffer | Prep Hoops Scout
Chibi was oozing with potential in a hard fought win on Friday night, as I really like his long-term potential. The freshman guard stands around 6’4” and was the main ball handler for his team. He was great at pushing the pace in transition and setting up teammates for high percentage looks. He brings a ton of versatility on the defensive end, being able to truly guard 1-5. Egbune also played so hard and came away with some huge putback buckets late in crunch time.

Egbune was everywhere on Day 1, and anybody who watched noticed that he was one of the top players on the day. He filled it up in every way as he was taking on primary responsibilities despite being one of the taller players, was using his speed and athleticism to get to his spots, and could not be denied at the rim. He’s long, athletic, and aggressive, and that’s a recipe for success. He was looking to score and apply pressure while also facilitating. Egbune played with confidence and imposed his will in stretches, filling the stat sheet across the board. When everything clicks consistently, the upside is real, and he’s a player I’m very intrigued by for Revup, who had to finish with about 20 points, 10 rebounds, and steals to go along with it.
