Anderson is a player who we got to see at the Expo and based off of what we saw from that event, he’ll be a varsity contributor this upcoming year. Aidan has good size, anticipates where the ball is going to be, moves around the block and competes on the glass. We saw him take over for large stretches of the events with a back to the basket and a face-up game as well. He attacks off the dribble, can hit the mid range and also finishes amongst the trees. I now want to see what that looks like with the speed and physicality that varsity has. Anderson is doing this off of instinct, but with a year in Eaglecrest’s program I think we see an even more dangerous player. I’m curious to see how much time he plays this year but he would’ve certainly been a Top-10 player had there been a rankings update.

Anderson would’ve made my 1st-Team All-Freshman team if we did, with how he performed on the day, and he was dominant for stretches and firmly put himself among my top three performers at the event. He had the size and athleticism to play above the rim, but also showed considerably more around the basket than simply being a dunker. Anderson scored over his shoulder, used up-and-under moves, backed defenders down, and finished through traffic. He could also put it on the floor and even stepped outside to show some three-point range. Defensively, his length was constantly in the picture. He kept his hands high, contested shots, and erased opportunities around the rim. He was a matchup nightmare, and with how he performed at the event, I would not be surprised if he played a ton this upcoming season. Really liked my first impression of Aidan.

We haven’t seen Aidan in over a year, and we’re curious to see how his game has evolved and if he’s worked on his game. The last time that we saw him, he was a glass cleaner who was using his length and gave this team plenty of second-chance opportunities. He moved well, competed, and didn’t allow any easy baskets near the rim. He was, of course, younger, so he was still figuring out how to be effective, but he made his mark, and we want him to come out and show that there’s been growth to his game that translates.

Anderson was a force on the glass, consistently cleaning up rebounds and taking away second chance opportunities for opponents. His tenacity and high motor made him a constant presence around the rim, where he also capitalized on offensive boards being able to convert second chance points. Anderson’s energy and effort made him a difference maker on both ends of the floor.
