We updated the 2030 Watch List and added over 100 players to the list. We elected to not go with a rankings, as it is so early in their high school careers and NONE have even played a real high school game yet. But that doesn't mean that we haven't seen them play. Here we take a look at players that we would put in the Top 10 if we had dropped the rankings.

Anderson is a player who we got to see at the Expo and based off of what we saw from that event, he'll be a varsity contributor this upcoming year. Aidan has good size, anticipates where the ball is going to be, moves around the block and competes on the glass. We saw him take over for large stretches of the events with a back to the basket and a face-up game as well. He attacks off the dribble, can hit the mid range and also finishes amongst the trees. I now want to see what that looks like with the speed and physicality that varsity has. Anderson is doing this off of instinct, but with a year in Eaglecrest's program I think we see an even more dangerous player. I'm curious to see how much time he plays this year but he would've certainly been a Top-10 player had there been a rankings update.

Ashton is the name that comes up every single time when we've had argument about who others believe is 2030's top prospect as of right now and with good reason. Ashton has good size, a calm and controlled game and when he plays his age group, it just looks different. Ashton cannot be denied as he scores with ease and is a bully. We typically see him play up, but when he gets out to events like the Mile High Freshman Academy and puts on a show like he did, it's easy to see whey he's so high regarded. We also got to see him play up with NoCo Elite this Summer as well as with Rangeview and he showed that he could fit in and have his moments. He's a Freshman that I feel will be counted on to play from the get-go and he'd easily be in the Top-3 had we dropped rankings.

As much as we hear another name as 2030's top player, there are also loud pushes for [player_tooltip player_id='3560729' first='Drake' last='Jackson'] also being the classes top prospect and his versatility says he could be the most complete as of right now. Drake does it all. He's got great size, uses his length on both ends of the floor, rebounds in bunches and uses his athleticism as well. Drake is one of the hardest working players in this class. He's a workhorse forward that goes in the post and is very active. He has solid footwork, uses angles and finishes well inside and he refuses to get scored on as well. Defensively he blocks shots, protects the paints and communicates as well. I feel that he not only will be getting varsity minutes this year but a center piece. He'd easily be a Top-3 player for me and might stay there for the entire time he's in high school if he continues to work how he does.

Masen is a player who we got to see at Colorado Live as well as at a Prep Hoops showcase this Summer and he was certainly overwhelming. His size and ability to impact shots inside defensively make him a prospect who could make a varsity impact. At 6'8, he's the biggest player in the class, he runs the floor well and keeps it high, rebounds misses and goes right up and has soft touch inside. He'll have to adapt to the varsity speed and I do want to see guys bang with him down low a bit more and see how he battles with them but I do feel as if he has a high IQ and knows where to be, can fill holes and hold his own and has dominated when he's playing his age group. He's a Top 10 player in the class heading into the season.

Memphis at this moment would be the top guard in the class with all of the tools that he brings to the table. Memphis is a true PG who sees the floor well, controls pace, plays under control and when he has the ball things look comfortable on the court. We saw him play multiple times this summer and he was one of the top players on the court each time out. He's a consistent scorer who gets to where he wants on the floor, he makes entry passes, pushes it up the floor and finds the open man and gets into the teeth of the defense to cause the defense havoc as well. I like the balance from him. He can score both inside and out and when he showed up to our Expo he had one of the top performances on the day. I believe he'll earn some minutes this year and contribute to University's front court and he would've easily made the Top-10. Solid prospect.

Axtel is another prospect who I have to see more of for me to be fully convinced but from what we saw from him at the Expo, I couldn't imagine him not getting his feet wet on varsity this year. He was a top 3 player at the Freshman showcase as he had size, a face-up game where he was repeatedly getting downhill and attacked defenders at the rim and also had some athletic flushes as well. He scored in bunches, forced the double team and made the right play. Axtel showed he could attack and finish over and over and battled on both ends and those things will be hard to keep off the floor. He's a player who we would've put in the Top-10 had we done the rankings. He's piqued my interest.
