Sawyer was impossible to miss at the showcase, putting together the kind of performance that had everyone taking notice. His skill level was on full display as he finished confidently with either hand, knocked down shots and consistently made things happen with the ball. Size never seemed to bother him as he attacked bigger defenders and found ways to create advantages all over the floor. Sawyer was the engine that kept his team moving, taking control when they needed a play and setting the tone on the offensive end. He played with poise and maturity, looking completely comfortable while making winning plays

Sawyer is quickly emerging as a name generating real buzz across the watchlist and he’s one to get familiar with early. He has shown flashes of what looks like one of the more naturally gifted scorers in the gym, especially when games tighten and possessions matter most. He creates comfortably off the dribble  beating defenders and getting into the paint under control. Once there he shows a polished finishing package with floaters, off hand touches and the ability to make the right read when help arrives. The game appears to slow down for him, and when he finds rhythm, he can swing momentum in a hurry. He’s shaping up as a high level performer with breakout potential moving forward

Memphis Sawyer Memphis Sawyer 5'9" | CG University | 2030 CO is a name that has buzzed in both of our tournaments to begin the grassroots season, and is a name you should get used to hearing. The crazy part is he’s in the 2030 class. He looked like one of the more naturally gifted scorers in the gym this past weekend, especially when games tightened up. He’s very comfortable creating off the bounce, he consistently breaks defenders down and got into the paint with control. In there, he also knows how to put the ball in the basket as he mixed floaters, had tough off-hand finishes, and made timely passes while never looking sped up. The game slows down for him in a real way, and when he found rhythm offensively, he completely changed the momentum. He’s a player that I feel is going to really catch fire soon, so we’re happy to be on him early. He’s a big-time performer.
