Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Aligbe, a forward out of the St. Andrew’s School in Rhode Island, has all the makings of a modern four-man at the next level. The broad shouldered, 6’8″ forward is a plus athlete that has proven inside-out scoring ability. He impressed this winter with his ability to come off of screens and knock down shots from the perimeter, while continuing to display the motor and athleticism that make him a tough rebounder and paint finisher on the offensive end of the floor. He can guard up and down a position, does a nice job of offering rim protection out of rotations, and should be able to guard wings on the perimeter at the next level. He has Division I interest and offers and should certainly be capable of playing, and making an impact, at that level.

Aligbe seemingly put it all together this summer, during the scholastic period and on the travel circuit with The House We Built. The St. Andrew’s forward is a high level rebounder that does a great job of using his frame to carve out space and keep opponents away from the ball. He can score it at multiple levels, does a nice job of passing out of the post, and is capable of playing as a grab and go rebounder in transition. His versatility allows him to draw opposing bigs away from the rim and he does a nice job of playing in both DHOs and ball screens. Possibly under-recruited right now, he’s a Division I prospect that holds an offer from Manhattan.

Aligbe, an uber versatile forward from St. Andrew’s School in Rhode Island, checks into this update at #25. At 6’8″, he has great positional size and a versatile skillset that compliment it. He can operate as a decision maker out of DHO actions, makes plays in the mid-post as a scorer and passer, and finishes through contact at the rim as an off ball cutter. He continues to consistently knock down shots from behind the arc, scores in isolation situations by creating space off the bounce, and has the ability to finish above the rim in space. On the other end of the floor, he does a good job of making his presence felt on the defensive glass. He’s attracting a lot of attention at the Division I level and has all the tools needed to be a mid-major player.
