An All-NEPSAC selection this winter, the 6’6″ wing proved to be a capable scorer that could create his own shot off the bounce, knock down threes in catch and shoot situations, and score it above the rim in transition. He continues to add to his offensive game while showing a college ready frame and plus athleticism. Defensively, he has the tools to be a lock-down perimeter defender with quickness, strength, and good instincts.

Powell is a skilled wing who continues to show a polished offensive game. Once he gets to his spots, he can rise up and shoot over the defense with confidence. He plays at a smooth pace and never looks rushed, even against physical pressure. Powell has a knack for taking and making big shots when the moment calls for it. He creates quality looks with strong footwork and a patient approach in the mid-range and beyond the arc. He also does a good job using change of speed to get defenders off balance and open up his scoring chances. With his shot-making ability and poise, he’s a tough cover and a player who can swing momentum quickly.

He is a scorer from all three areas on the floor. Mid-Major D1 teams have already offered him and I can see why. A perfect athlete to stretch the floor. He has long arms, that would be a perfect fit for Jim Boeheim old zone defense. He can handle the rock taking pressure off the guards. If you haven’t seen him play, you have to take a look because you will miss out. He corrals inaccurate passes from the perimeter and knocks down shots like they were perfect.

Martin is a strong, physical wing who consistently gets downhill and puts pressure on the defense. He uses his size and strength to create advantages off the bounce and finish through contact. Around the rim, he’s an effective finisher who converts tough looks in traffic. His ability to attack gaps and play through defenders makes him a reliable scoring option on the wing.

Martin, a highly regard wing out of New York, makes his initial appearance in the rankings after transferring to St. Andrew’s School. He debuts at #54 and plays with a terrific two-way versatility. The 6’6″ wing is an above the rim finisher in transition that has proven to be a capable three level scorer and shot maker. He has a quick first step as a driver, the strength to play through contact, and a fearlessness when attacking the rim. On the other end, he does a great job of rebounding in traffic and in space, then shows the ability to start the break in transition.
