Leman came off the board with a commitment to Mercyhurst University. A floor spacing, left-handed big man at Worcester Academy, Leman was one of this summer’s stock riser and culminated his experience with a commitment to play at the Division I level. He’s a quality paint finisher with great touch around the rim that knows how to play with his back to the basket. His most impressive skill, however, is his ability to shoot the basketball. At 6’8″, he’s a true stretch forward that does a great job of creating space for teammates and can consistently knock down multiple three’s in a game. A good athlete, he’s comfortable making plays off the bounce and is an impressive passer out of the high post. Defensively, he does a good job on the boards, can guard in space for a couple of bounces, and offers quality post defense against fours and fives. This is a recruiting win for Mercyhurst as the transition to Division I, with Leman projecting as a solid, two-way forward in the NEC.

I can’t figure out why D1 coaches aren’t fawning over long, 6-foot-8 forward Chris Leman Chris Leman 6'8" | PF Worcester Academy | 2025 State New E . He’s ridiculously skilled for his size and has the mind to match it. He can step out and consistently hit the outside shot (he has a really pretty-looking lefty release), but he also uses excellent footwork and craft in the post to outsmart bigger and stronger defenders. He ties his game together with awesome positioning and really solid passing instincts for his size. Leman somehow has zero D1 offers so far, but college coaches are going to figure out the Worcester Academy senior soon. Bright future ahead for him.

Chris Leman Chris Leman 6'8" | PF Worcester Academy | 2025 State New E is a stretch four forward who can shoot the rock from the perimeter. He’s got a sweet left-handed stroke, and combined with plus shot mechanics, make him dangerous in catch-and-shoot scenarios. With good size, Leman can finish and slam dunks at the rim and use his touch to score in the mid-range area. In the limited times I have seen him handling the ball, he looks comfortable and steady. Leman’s defense is also quite good as a weak-side rim protector and uses his length for deflections and rejections. Overall, the offensive tools he displays at his size along with the other flashes of potential he brings to the table make him a must-watch for coaches and programs going forward.

Leman is a really interesting stretch big who’s length makes him feel bigger than 6-foot-8. The lefty can stroke it from deep and has some nice finesse moves once he gets into the paint. He moves very well for his size, uses great footwork to score around the rim, and is a smart passer. He’s versatile on both ends and is a very intriguing prospect.
