Blackburn is a SHOOTER. When he gets hot, his confidence soars and he becomes really hard to stop. He moves well without the ball and can shoot on the move, and his range is basically anywhere over half court. He’s got one of the prettier shots in the region and it’ll certainly translate well to the next level. He could definitely add some creation and closeout attacking skills to his game, but he has the skills necessary to do so. Even when he isn’t getting open looks, he’s creating space for his teammates with his shooting gravity and movement. The senior will be playing at Binghamton University next year.

Blackburn’s recruitment came to an end when he announced that he will attend Binghamton University. A bigger guard that does a great job of moving without the basketball, Blackburn has a quick trigger and in-the-gym range on his jumper. He does a nice job of squaring up on the catch, has the ability to show and go off shot fakes, and is a crafty finisher around the rim. He’s continued to improve with the ball in his hands and is able to create his own shot off the bounce. Defensively, his combination of size, athleticism, and physicality allows him to guard 2 through 4. He’s also shown a willingness to take charges and give up his body for his team. Binghamton landed a quality commitment as Blackburn profiles as the type of big, shot making guard that could make an immediate impact in the America East.

Blackburn has a flamethrower for a right arm and maybe one of the prettiest releases in the gym. He gets solid elevation on his jump shot in the mid-range and can shoot it from deep as well. Once defenders started flying out to him, he showed a solid pull-up and floater game. Added strength will help improve his defense and ball handling under pressure.
