Lowe was the engine all night, setting the tone with his speed, strength and control. He poured in 13 hard earned points, relentlessly attacking the basket and finishing through contact time after time. He played downhill and was never out of control but smooth, poised and powerful. When momentum started to shift, he silenced it. His three pointer just before the halftime buzzer was a backbreaker, sending the Rangers into the locker room with a jolt of energy and the crowd buzzing. Lowe is another prospect over at Lewis-Palmer who does not get all of the attention, but his effort and the way he sets the tone have the Rangers as a team to watch. He has his flashes where he can impact the game with his defense, and his play impacts winning. He plays hard, he finishes plays, and takes on defensive assignments. He’s starting to get his hands in the passing lane, his work ethic on the boards allow his team extra scoring opportunities, and he gets out and runs the break. He’s a player who takes care of the ball, and there aren’t a ton of mistakes when he’s out there, and that stands out. He’s a glue guy to keep an eye on as they make their run.
