Meyer has a ton of upside as one of the best shot blockers in the class of 2026. While he needs to add weight to his frame, playing at IMG Academy this season should help him prepare for the expectations a college program will have with his weightlifting and diet. Going against other high major bigs in practice is another great way for Meyer to prepare himself for life in college and even if he doesn’t play early at Duke, I’m very high on him eventually becoming a crucial piece of the puzzle in Durham.

One of my favorite bigs in the 2026 class, Meyer seems to get better every time I watch him play. I was really impressed by his hands and ability to pass out of the post on Saturday. I also was impressed by Meyer’s positioning as a helpside defender and rim protector, clogging lanes for Sunrise Christian to attack, holding them under 30 points until late in the fourth quarter. Despite being skinny, Meyer also made some toughness plays and should be able to secure even more rebounds at the college level when he puts some weight and strength on to his frame. Very obvious why Duke prioritized Meyer in the 2026 class.

The Canadian could be added to our rankings now that he’s at an American prep school in IMG academy. An elite rim protector, Meyer had over 4 defensive stocks (blocks + assists) per game on the 3SSB circuit. Also a capable passer, Meyer has a ton of upside on both ends of the court. Meyer will need to put weight on to produce at the high major level but I have full confidence in his ability to get naturally stronger over the next few years. Meyer recently took a visit to Duke and holds offers to Florida and Michigan, all programs who have excelled at developing bigs at the college and professional level. I wouldn’t be surprised if Meyer ends the cycle as a top 50 player in the country.
