Beloit checks all three of those boxes each time he takes to the court. A smooth long-distance shooter and unselfish playmaker, Belot is back of a terrific backcourt at Homestead that also includes Northern Illinois recruit Mickey Rogers Jr. Belot must be accounted for by opposing defenses or he will stick three after three or use a ball fake to get around a defender to score in the lane. He averaged 16.4 points and 4.4 rebounds as a junior and turned in a strong club season for [program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy']. Hillsdale, Menlo College and Parkside are interested from the NCAA Division II level as are state powers Oshkosh and St. Norbert from Division III.

The object of basketball, obviously, is to outscore your opponent. Gerke's ability to put points on the board is thus a huge plus for schools looking to recruit the highly skilled 6-foot-3 wing guard. Gerke's smooth jump shot extends well beyond the three-point arc and he doesn't need a ton of space or time to launch from outside the arc. He is smart in his approach to the game and takes big shots when needed, but he is not a player who needs a ton of shots to make a strong impact on the outcome of a game. Gerke averaged 21.3 points and 4.7 rebounds as a junior and is receiving some recruiting interest at the NCAA Division II level along with lots of interest from Division III programs in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Fait has plenty of pop to his game on the offensive end of the court. He can use his length to get to the basket to finish. And he might surprise a few defenders with a two-handed flush off one of his drives. Of course, Fait is known best for his mid-range and three-point shooting skills. Both of those attributes are at a very high level. Fait also is an underrated passer who can facilitate an offense with his ball handling and court vision. A two-time first-team all-league pick in the Midwest Classic Conference, Fait averaged a robust 27.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists as a junior and begins his fourth year of varsity basketball at Catholic Central with 1,724 career points.

The big fella from Tigerton continues to hone his skills, drop weight and become an imposing force on the basketball court. At 6-foot-10, Brady has the size to dominate the glass. He did average 12.2 rebounds for a 28-1 squad at Tigerton last winter. However, via hard work and dedication, Brady also has evolved as a dependable scorer in the paint. He put up 24.6 ppg as a junior and starts his fourth year of varsity play for coach Dan Hoffa with 1,543 career points. Brady can help break full-court pressure defense with his size and outlet passing, but once in the half court, he's smart enough to use his size, strength and skill to overpower opponents in the paint.

Bahr has a body made for the rigors of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. At 6-foot-5 and with considerable strength, Bahr is skilled enough to play on the perimeter and big and strong enough to affect a game around the basket. The returning Player of the Year in the Mississippi Valley Conference will have to shoulder a huge load for Aquinas this winter as the lone returning starter for coach Brad Reinhart, but Bahr appears poised to tackle that challenge. Also a strong football player, Bahr averaged 19.8 ppg and 10.5 rpg as a junior and he can play and guard multiple positions. His versatility and toughness, no doubt, will help him as he transitions from high school to college basketball.

Like others profiled in this story, Busch is a no-brainer recruit for NCAA Division III programs. And, like others profiled here, he is likely to get at least some attention from Division II schools. When you shoot the ball as well as Busch, coaches tend to take notice. He is the very definition of a knock-down shooter and he works hard to get open in the hard court as most opponents try to take away his clean looks at the basket. But Busch is often able to break free and his quick release from downtown enables him to get his shot off in the blink of an eye. The returning first–team all-league selection in the Classic Eight Conference is set to have a big season for Oak Creek in 2026-27.

Walz isn't often the quickest guy in the gym or the biggest backcourt player, either. But he's usually the smartest player on the floor and, just as often, the most competitive. He competes on every possession and on both ends of the court and that alone makes him a pleasure to watch. Walz is an excellent ball handling, strong passer and improved shooter. The son of long-time Wisconsin Lutheran coach Ryan Walz, [player_tooltip player_id='2412809' first='Riley' last='Walz'] understands how to run a team and one of the more unselfish players in the state's 2027 class. His on-ball defense, verbal communication and productivity while playing an extremely strong schedule for the three-time WIAA state champion Vikings speaks for itself.

A bit off the beaten track in terms of attention received thus far from collegiate programs, Sommer is a player who should be on the recruiting radar for Division III programs in Wisconsin. His size, skill and feel for the game are all strong points as he can play inside or away from the basket. He played on the Columbus Catholic state-title baseball team last spring so he wasn't always out on the club circuit. But, make no mistake, Sommer is a key figure for the always-strong Dons basketball program and will be a senior leader in that regard this winter. His versatility, size and physical strength are all positives for the next level.

Many of the top players in Wisconsin's class of 2027 already have committed to NCAA Division I and II programs. But there is a long list of others who would be perfect for many NCAA Division III programs in the state. Here's a look at a few of the top uncommitted seniors in Wisconsin who fit the bill for the state's strongest Division III programs.
