Here are the top 2029 standouts who turned heads this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2915584' first='DK' last='Heard'] | [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire']

Event: Windy City War

Heard is a high-motor wing who screams projectability. A long, rangy, and explosive athlete, he was absolutely dominant in the matchups we caught over the weekend. Heard excelled in the high/low game, showcasing advanced footwork around the rim, while also proving he can break his man down off the bounce for tough finishes. He thrives in transition and loves to play above the rim. Beyond his athleticism, Heard's mid-range game looked crisp, consistently knocking down 15-footers. He displayed great vision, passing well on the move and finding cutters out of the high post. Defensively, his length and high competitive motor make him a serious problem.

[player_tooltip player_id='2947403' first='Orlando' last='Bohlen'] | [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last='']

Event: Chi-Town Tip-Off

Bohlen put the circuit on notice with a statement performance in [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last='']'s opener against [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''], dropping a hard-fought 18 points. ThePayton two-guard brings a tantalizing blend of length, skill, and athleticism to the hardwood. He is a high-level sniper who blew the game open from beyond the arc. Bohlen possesses a lightning-fast release and highly consistent mechanics. He isn't just a spacer, thoughhe rebounds exceptionally well for his position and uses his length to play scrappy, disruptive perimeter defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] | Y&R

Event: Prep Hoops Live

Udoiwod solidified his case as one of the premier point guards in the state's 2029 class. While standing at 6'0", his incredibly long wingspan allows him to play much bigger than his listed height. He lit it up from deep during Prep Hoops Live, burying five triples with a fluid, effortless stroke. Udoiwod is highly creative off the bounce, getting to his spots at will for mid-range pull-ups, euro-steps, turnaround jumpers, and acrobatic finishes at the cup. His passing instincts are top-tier, showcasing the ability to make live-dribble reads and dime up teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2675420' first='Quinn' last='Carroll'] | [program_tooltip program_id='2078448' first='Illinois' last='Wolves']

Event: Great Lakes Finals

Carroll projects early on as one of the most fundamentally skilled and polished players in this class. Quinn is a lethal threat from beyond the arc, boasting elite shot preparation and footwork that allows him to hunt and knock down an array of triples. Carroll is far from just a catch-and-shoot threat. He pairs his elite spacing with tight ball-handling, allowing him to score off the bounce with slick layups, while also moving intelligently off the ball to find easy scoring cutting lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='TJ' last='Jamison'] | [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last='']

Event: Chi-Town Tip-Off

Jamison continues to validate his reputation as an elite 2029 prospect. At 6'4", he possesses elite positional size for a combo guard, giving him immense upside. He is ultra-smooth with the rock, effortlessly weaving through traffic in both half-court sets and transition to finish strong or draw contact, leading to frequent trips to the charity stripe.

Jamison is a dynamic scoring threat with a quick, clean release off both the catch and the bounce. He flashes elite playmaking feel and dominates the glass for a guard. Defensively, his length covers an absurd amount of ground—if he commits to locking in on that end consistently, he has the tools to be an absolute monster.
