Orlando Bohlen
About Orlando
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
Orlando is the type of shooter who can change a game in a matter of minutes. That’s what happened late in the first half against Meanstreets in a 15u matchup. The Breakaway guard hit a pair of deep threes to give his team all of the momentum heading into halftime. Orlando plays with a ton of confidence, and has never seen a shot he doesn’t like. I saw him play last fall at the Prep Hoops Freshman Expo, and he displayed the same type of offensive game that he showed this past weekend. His shot making ability helped lead Breakaway 3SSB to a 4-0 record in the top 15u bracket.

The rising sophomore was a highlight for Breakaway 3SSB 15U, impacting the game both as a creator and perimeter threat. With the ball in his hands, he showed the ability to create off the dribble and make plays. From deep, Bohlen showed a quick, confident release—knocking down back-to-back threes, including one through contact versus Drako Elite 15U. He doesn’t need much time or space to get his shot off, putting defenders on alert with his willingness to fire in rhythm.

Bohlen is one to watch as a 6’0” two guard that can fill it up with his shooting. Banged in threes off the catch and pulling up with a clean stroke. In and out dribbles creating space to get his shot off from mid-range.

A smooth sniper that fills the 2 or 3 spot effectively with length for age. Anything volleyball line and within is fair game. Knocked down a half a dozen 3’s at a high clip in 1st game of 5v5 action. Displayed shiftiness off the bounce getting to his spots for mid-range pull ups or finishing through contact for an And1. Made simple passes around the arc to swing it or used pitch-aheads in transition for assists. Rebounded defensively to start the break attacking. Overall can impact a game in a hurry.
