Saw Carroll compete for the first time during Sunday morning game. An active two way guard that impacts from inside and out. Came away with a couple offensive boards from the guard location. As a passer he made several strong reads including to the roll man off a ball screen, post feeds, and a couple smooth dump offs underneath. Consistently pushed pace off d boards to stay aggressive. Brings toughness and selfless playmaking ability. Helped lead team to a first-place weekend finish out of 70+ teams in 15U division.

6’2″ point guard for Lyons and Illinois Wolves made a big difference Saturday afternoon in the semifinal against TNBA. Aggressive ball-handler who showed an ability to attack the rim at many angles. Shooting stroke was effective, too as he a couple three-pointers in this contest. Became more involved as a passer and defender later on which helped the wolves stretch their lead to double figures in the semifinal.

Caught the 2nd game of 5v5’s. Displayed consistency shooting the 3 ball with willingness to spot up off the catch from deep. Made a cool smooth reverse layup in traffic with poised body control and touch. Converted on a nice pullup going from the deep corner to elbow for a mid range splash. Liked what he gave on the other side of the ball as well. Knows his help side rotations and digs at the ball when handler gets passed defender.

Carroll was one of the best players at the camp. This 6’1” guard has some projection to continue to grow. He was absolutely lethal from deep with his shooting. I mean he was pouring them in from super deep pulling up, off the catch, and in the mid-range. Such a fluid and easy shooting stroke. Creative handles with the ball getting to the rim and used his speed in transition to score. The passing instincts were certainly shown as well with his feel threading the needle on quite a few passes for dimes. Rebounds in his area. Complete offensive player!
