Previewing June: 2027 Prospects Most Looking Forward to Scouting

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we head into the June live periods who are the prospects I am most looking forward to seeing in person and getting updated evals on?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] (St. Laurence)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There has been some buzz about Peoples over the last few months, but our staff has not seen him play since the end of high school season.&nbsp; Big and powerful guard that plays with physicality along with skill.&nbsp; Not the most projectable prospect, but he just gets the job done in an old school Roosevelt Jones type of way.&nbsp; We know he can rebound, drive, dish, and is a scrappy defender.&nbsp; We will be looking to see if the jumper has improved along with the vertical athleticism.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125634' first='Hayden' last='Schroeder'] (Wheaton Academy)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schroeder is another prospect that we didn't get to see this spring we are looking forward to seeing how his game has grown since the high school season.&nbsp; Skilled four man that excels at scoring around the basket with excellent footwork and touch.&nbsp; Solid rebounder as well.&nbsp; Growth areas we are looking for is being able to consistently stretch the floor along with being impactful defensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2458187' first='J'dyn' last='Lloyd'] (Belleville West)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Did not see Lloyd in the spring and the last time we saw him in the playoffs was not his usual outing.&nbsp; Lloyd is among the premier scoring guards in southern Illinois and particularly the metro east.&nbsp; He is a strong guard that can get buckets in bunches.&nbsp; What do we want to see out of him in June?&nbsp; Consistency game to game, ability to impact in other areas than scoring, and the athletic pop he flashed last June!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125687' first='Travis' last='Brown'] (West Aurora)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown has been among the top point guards in the class from the time they entered high school.&nbsp; Doesn't have ideal size, but has blazing speed!&nbsp; In June we want to see how his overall game has progressed since the end of high school season and if he can dominate games with his scoring, passing, and defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2540188' first='Ryan' last='Howard'] (Alton)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another metro east wing that was not seen in the spring.&nbsp; We are big fans of Howard with his ability to let it fly as a smooth shooting three point shooter off the catch.&nbsp; Projects right now as a 3 and D wing that is a lights out shooter who flashes defensively.&nbsp; In June we want to see him be lock down defensively and improve his all-around offensive skill set.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125619' first='Dshaun' last='Bolden'] (Oswego East)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bolden had a solid junior campaign for Oswego East and will now transition to being the man for his high school team.&nbsp; Physically built and athletic wing has a lot of the raw tools coaches are looking for.&nbsp; Could be a breakout player in the month of June.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2425956' first='Perry' last='Tchiegne'] (Benet)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of my favorite players in the 2027 class is this Benet guard.&nbsp; He is the ultimate versatile guard who can play multiple positions in the backcourt while defending at a high level and being a connective passer.&nbsp; For Benet he will asked to take on a larger role as a scorer and we want to see how the three point shot continues to improve.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2328086' first='Amari' last='Dukes'] (TF South)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dukes is a toolsy 6'5” shooting guard with a ton of projectbility and athleticism.&nbsp; Biggest thing we want to see out of him is the consistency from game to game and even within games.&nbsp; When we saw him in the regular season he would have stretches showing the promise, but not throughout a whole game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2455395' first='Keshaun' last='Manney'] (Bloomington Central Catholic)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is a central Illinois guard we have heard some buzz on, but haven't seen since high school season.&nbsp; Athletic guard with shot creation ability from multiple levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
