[player_tooltip player_id='1956268' first='Shay' last='Jackson'] was bringing the energy for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] in an 8am matchup with [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane']. He was all over the floor applying pressure defensively, constantly picking up full-court and looking to force turnovers. Shay seems to have endless energy on the defensive end of the floor, and kept up that heavy pressure until the final buzzer. He helped his team claw back from a five point deficit in about 10 seconds, tying things up with a buzzer beating three to force overtime. Select would go on to win against [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'], and followed that up with a win over 24:Up P32 later that morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412856' first='Theo' last='Toepel'] had a strong showing against a good [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] team on Saturday morning. The 6'4 wing excelled at getting two feet in the lane, where he can either power his way to the basket, or hit a turnaround jumper. Even when defended by length he's able to bump his defender to get a bit of separation, and then showed a high release point to get his shots off. He never looked sped up by anything the defense threw at him, and put together an efficient scoring performance while doubling as a strong rebounder on the defensive end of the floor.

Jock showed why he's currently ranked #6 in Minnesota's 2029 class with an all-around performance in a win over Midwest Mayhem 16u. What really stood out was his passing at 6'4. Jock was able to penetrate to get into dangerous areas, forcing the defense to collapse. From there he racked up assists with a number of dump off passes, and he could also thread the needle with a well timed pass in transition. Mal was able to create his own shots as well, able to change direction quickly at his size to beat defenders off the dribble and use his length to extend and finish at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433532' first='Max' last='Beeninga'] was on fire in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2517147' first='Wisconsin' last='Breakaway'] on Saturday. The quick junior out of Wayzata was getting to any spot he wanted to off the dribble, and didn't seem capable of missing for a handful of minutes as he simply took the game over. He can fly up the floor in transition, hit shots from well beyond the arc, or get to the rim and draw contact to earn easy points at the FT line. When Max is on the floor, the ball always seems to go where it needs to, and it never sticks in his hands. Even when he's in a rhythm and looking to score, it's all quick and decisive decisions out of Max.

[program_tooltip program_id='2517147' first='Wisconsin' last='Breakaway'] was trailing big against [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'], until [player_tooltip player_id='2508476' first='Oliver' last='Evans'] took over to make it a game late. At 6'8 he's a force to handle in the paint, and any time he touched the ball on the block he was looking to score. If he caught in isolation, there was no hesitation from Ollie to take a hard power dribble to pin his defender right under the rim, and then power up for two points. He was relentless on the offensive glass as well, converting on a number of second or third chance opportunities. You can tell he's worked on his conditioning and mobility a bit since last spring/summer, while still maintaining that strength at 6'8 that makes him a low-post threat.

Kaydon impressed while playing up at the 17u level with [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise']. In just a couple of minutes, he completely turned the game around, finishing twice at the rim and picking up two assists to bring his team from down by 4 to leading by 5 with 10 minutes to play. His team kept the momentum from there, and would go on to win the game. With his length and skillset he could play the 1-4 spots for his team, as he handles it well under pressure, can create for himself and his teammates off the dribble, and uses his length to cause disruptions on the defensive end.

Jayce was a key player for 24:Up in their win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 3SSB. Leading by two possessions for most of the second half, Jayce did a great job of keeping his team calm in the half-court, able to play under the pressure from the opposing guards, and wait for an open look to appear. Jayce knocked down his threes at a high percentage, and was able to help ice the game at the free throw line down the stretch. More known for his shooting, Jayce did a great job of getting his team past the full-court pressure and into their half-court sets against a team that features a ton of length and athleticism.
