Elliot is one of the top guards in attendance this weekend in Sioux Falls. He showed that in a Saturday win over [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] where he was getting to the rim to finish, dropping dimes to teammates in the open floor, and using his quickness to come up with steals defensively. On the ball he plays with change of speed that makes it tough for defenders to stay in front of him, and he excels at coming off of screens and getting into the lane to make plays. Elliot is fresh off of a breakout season at Rochester Mayo, and is continuing that strong run of play this spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'].

[player_tooltip player_id='2854739' first='Thomas' last='Cleveland'] couldn't be stopped in the paint on Saturday morning. It seemed like any time he caught the ball on the block, two points were going on the board. At 6'4 he has such a strong frame that is tough to stop at the 15u level, combined with impressive footwork and the touch to finish with either hand. Really good spatial awareness to kick it out if a double-team came, or recognize when he had the space to go to work in isolation. Works hard to get up and down the floor in transition.

Zeke had some nice moments with [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United'] on Saturday. He dished out some impressive assists, including threading the needle through a tight gap in one of the most impressive passes I've seen all spring. Zeke zipped it in to a cutting teammate, leading him perfectly to the rim for two points. When he wasn't setting up his teammates with quality looks, Zeke was stepping out to drain threes at a high percentage, or making plays off two feet around the rim. Really good patience to utilize footwork and shot fakes to create finishing angles against taller defenders inside.

It seems like any time I watch this [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] team play, Santiago is saving his best for the last 8 minutes. In what was a pretty close game in the second half, Santiago blew things open late when he drained three straight threes, as well as dishing out an assist to one of his forwards within a couple of minutes to push Fury ahead. He has a bit of an unorthodox shooting form, but is a streaky shooter who can string together a few makes in a row to put points on the board quickly. Santiago is a vocal player on the floor, works hard to compete defensively, and looks to get all of his teammates involved throughout the game.

Alex had some nice flashes in the first half for [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] on Saturday night. Starting with his physical profile, Alex is a strong backcourt prospect with wide shoulders and a 6'2 frame that allows him to defend against bigger wings when needed. On the offensive end he has some wiggle on the ball to get to his spots for pull-up jumpers, and he drained a handful in the first half alone. Alex has the ability to stop on a dime to create a bit of separation, and then elevate to connect from mid-range. Brings a nice scoring punch to the floor for Heat PBB.

[player_tooltip player_id='2844494' first='Ian' last='Grove'] is a sharpshooter with good size out on the wing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076005' first='West' last='Central Wildcats']. Though listed at 5'10 on their roster, Ian has shot up to 6'2, giving him the length to play either guard spot. In a matchup with a strong Heiser Skills Academy 15u team, Ian took the game over in the second half draining three after three to push his team ahead. Morris Area always seems to have talented prospects coming up in the ranks, and Ian will be one of the next ones to watch there.

I really liked the versatility that Carter displayed for Heiser Skills Academy 15u. Standing at 6'5 he can play just about every spot on the floor at the 15u level. He spent some time running the point, he could slash from the wing, and at 6'5 was often tasked with guarding opposing bigs. Carter did a great job of cutting without the ball to create some good looks at the rim, showcasing the body control to hang in the air and absorb contact to finish. His versatility at 6'5 has helped his team get off to a 2-1 start to their weekend heading into their final game on Sunday.
