The 2026 class has been good for a long time and there are some really talented players in this Senior group. With their time in high school winding down, it's time for the Senior class Superlatives.

Most Likely to Succeed:

[player_tooltip player_id='1558733' first='Reece' last='Davidson'], North Laurel - One thing about Reece over his career is that he when he has been healthy, he's consistently been the best player in the class. With his skill set and size, Davidson projects well to the next level and he can step in at Liberty and replicate a lot of what Zach Cleveland brings to the Flames roster as a freshman next season.

Best Shooter:

[player_tooltip player_id='1359133' first='Jacob' last='Spurlock'], Boyd County - Jacob has always had ridiculous range but he has become a much more consistent shooter over his career, too. People throw around the term "elite" pretty loosely these days but Spurlock is truly an elite shooter.

Most Athletic:

[player_tooltip player_id='1543594' first='DeMarcus' last='Surratt'], Frederick Douglass - Surratt is a walking highlight reel. When he's got a head of steam and getting to the rim, you should get in front of him at your own risk. DeMarcus is one of the quickest jumpers I've seen. He's always looking to take flight.

Most Improved:

[player_tooltip player_id='2328872' first='Jackson' last='Stephan'], Henry Clay - Stephan was essentially an unknown as recently as his Sophomore season. Now, you could make an argument that he's a top 10 player in this class. A big combo guard who rebounds at a high level and is an excellent passer, Jackson has come a long way in his development the last couple of seasons.

110% Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='1543600' first='Jaymes' last='Clark'], Male - Clark gets overlooked a lot but I'm not sure anyone plays harder. Jaymes is the type of player that coaches love and will make an impact in college with his effort.

Best Two Sport Star:

[player_tooltip player_id='1359135' first='Cash' last='Harney'], Covington Catholic - Harney committed to Kentucky as a wide receiver and in rare air as a player who scored 1,000 career point and threw for over 1,000 yards in his Senior season as the quarterback at Covington Catholic. Just a really impressive athlete, all the way around.

Most Impactful Transfer:

[player_tooltip player_id='1565984' first='Keriawn' last='Berry'], North Hardin - North Hardin hit the lottery when Keriawn enrolled. One of the best players in the state, Berry was ineligible for a long while but once he was permitted to play, he did so at an All-State level.

Walking Bucket Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='1565985' first='Amari' last='Owens'], Bryan Station - Amari ended his career at Bryan Station as the second leading scorer in Fayette County history. Capable of scoring 40+ in any game, Owens ended his high school career as one of the most prolific scorers in Kentucky this century.

Comeback Player of the Year:

[player_tooltip player_id='1543201' first='Walker' last='Craig'], Rockcastle County - Craig missed his entire Junior season with an ACL tear but bounced back in a big way this year. Walker led the 12th region in scoring at 24 points per game and added over 7 rebounds with shooting splits of 59/42/84.

Biggest Long Term Sleeper:

[player_tooltip player_id='2317259' first='Taeshawn' last='Adams'], Bryan Station - It remains to be seen where Adams signs but I think he checks every box as a kid who will eventually land at the D1 level whether through Junior College or the transfer portal. Blessed with length and athleticism, Taeshawn plays with a great motor and has shown a ton of skill over the years. He just keeps getting better.
