This 2028 class is loaded with talent and many have started to establish themselves among the top players in the state, regardless of class. Here's a look at some superlatives for the Sophomore class.

Most Likely To Go Viral:

[player_tooltip player_id='2429606' first='Josh' last='Lindsay'], St. Xavier - Lindsay has to be one of the best dunkers in America. He has already had a few of his high flying rim attacks go viral. Never afraid to attack the rim, Josh is a good all around player but is most known for his dunks.

Blue Collar Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='2454749' first='Brady' last='Orem'], Great Crossing - Great Crossing likes to give out a hard hat after every win and it's surprising anytime that Brady doesn't win the award. A walking double double, Orem is polished around the rim and embraces physical play. He just goes to work for 32 minutes, every game.

Best Shooter:

[player_tooltip player_id='2400700' first='Caleb' last='Marshall'], Lexington Christian - An argument could be made for a few other players in this spot but Marshall has the most pure jumper I've seen. With a lightning quick release, Caleb made over 4 threes per game and shot 41% while doing it. He also shot 89% from the free throw line.

Highest Prospect Ceiling:

[player_tooltip player_id='2520123' first='Boogie' last='Cook'], CAL - Boogie only got to play half of his Sophomore season for CAL after an aborted transfer to Ballard. He checks every box for physical gifts and athleticism. When his motor is running, it's easy to justify the lofty national ranking that Cook has already earned. If he gets more consistent with his effort over 32 minutes, we could be looking at a future pro.

Highest Prospect Floor:

[player_tooltip player_id='2529539' first='Andrew' last='Terry'], Montgomery County - [player_tooltip player_id='2529539' first='Andrew' last='Terry'] is incredibly solid in every aspect of the game. He can dribble, pass and shoot. At 6'8", he plays above the rim and rebounds well. There are no such things as sure things in basketball but I'm confident that Andrew is going to be very successful the next few seasons and into college.

Biggest Sleeper:

[player_tooltip player_id='3246445' first='Jaidan' last='Bartlett'], Trinity - Bartlett is overlooked at Trinity because of the depth on the roster but he has the kind of potential that makes him look like he'll step right into [player_tooltip player_id='3515276' first='Jayden' last='Johnson']'s shoes after he graduates. A bigger guard who can play with or without the ball, Jaidan has a ton of long term potential.

Best Passer:

[player_tooltip player_id='2529549' first='Baron' last='Clay'], Ballard - Ballard has a lot of offensive weapons but only one basketball. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2529549' first='Baron' last='Clay'] is an exceptional distributor who gets his teammates the ball where they need it. A true floor general at the point guard position.

Best Player No One Talks About:

[player_tooltip player_id='2694628' first='Austin' last='Davie'], Campbell County - Davie has had a monster season, including a 50 point game in the last couple of weeks. He's got great positional size and plays super hard too. Don't be surprised if Austin ends up the best player in this class by graduation.

Get Well Soon Award:

[player_tooltip player_id='2360949' first='Trey' last='Hillerich'], Male - Honorary award for Hillerich, who tore his ACL this season. One of the most improved players in Kentucky over the last two years, Trey is going to have to attack his rehab and get back where he was, and even better.

Most Likely to Score 3,000+ Points:

[player_tooltip player_id='2454751' first='Grayson' last='Burton'], Madison Central - Burton is quietly well on his way to 2,000 points in his career. Going back to Knox Central, Burton has been getting buckets for 4 years of varsity play already. With the Indians losing [player_tooltip player_id='2726831' first='Jake' last='Feldhaus'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1543614' first='Luke' last='Asher'] after this season, Grayson will become options 1, 2 and 3 for the Madison Central offense next year.
