Of all the athletes that played multiple games in the 7th Region tournament, Johnson was probably the most consistent and the most impactful. He put up a loud 24 PPG and 7.5 RPG to lead Trinity to the semifinals before falling to the eventual champion. Despite the loss, he proved why he’s one of the top prospects in the state and across the nation. His ability to knock down tough shots consistently down the stretch kept the game close through the first three quarters of regulation. Arguably the most impressive of his output was the legit range he showcased from long distance.

Jayden returned to Kentucky from Utah since our last update and finishes the rankings at 7th in the class. Johnson has a high ceiling because of his big frame and shooting abilities. When he gets downhill, Jayden’s strength makes him a tough player to stop and he can get into the paint consistently. He’s still undecided for his college destination.

After a prep stint at Wasatch Academy in Utah, Johnson has picked up where he left off since returning to Trinity. As a skilled big wing with advanced ball handling and shot making abilities, the D1 prospect doesn’t have many flaws to his game. There was a bit of an adjustment period, but the Shamrocks are rolling at just the right time, led by Johnson and 2027 standout Garrison Gilvin Garrison Gilvin 6'3" | SG Louisville Trinity | 2027 State KY . The reputable duo is one of the best in the state and could very well be the head of a sleeping giant that has awakened in the 7th. Johnson will enter tomorrow’s semifinals averaging a dominant 19.4 PPG with 45/41/84 shooting splits.
