The Capital City Classic MVP was likely [player_tooltip player_id='2126447' first='Briggs' last='Sheridan'] who scored 20 and took an early season against Stillwater, and then had 23 points in the paint in the win over Mayo. Led his team to a 2-0 weekend. Had a double-double in one, close to a double-double in the other.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'] of Maple Grove (Jr). Ann 25 points, four rebounds and four assists in the holiday week's biggest game against Tartan, and totaled 21 points and five rebounds in the win over Mayo. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2404942' first='King' last='James'] of Hiawatha Collegiate (Jr). Opened the event with a 16 point/13 rebound double-double in a loss to Minnehaha Academy and then exploded for 31 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Minneapolis South. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2435232' first='Jumair' last='Wright'] of Minneapolis South (Soph). Wright put up 30 points with six rebounds and six assists as South upset top ten ranked Becker on the opening night of the event. Wright then made 14 of 21 attempts for 31 points in the two score loss to Hiawatha. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560747' first='Alex' last='Schroepfer'] of Eagan (Sr). The senior do it all player led Eagan to wins over St. Louis Park and Stillwater by convincing margins. Alex had 13 points, five assists and five boards in one game, and 16 points, five boards and five assists in the other. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Second Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126145' first='Waleed' last='Muhammad'] of Richfield (Jr). Scored in double figures in the 62 point win over Harding and then stepped up huge with 16 points and 11 rebounds as Richfield beat Minnehaha Academy with Collins sidelined. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2399176' first='Bryce' last='Paumen'] of Becker (Sr). Put up 27 points on 11 of 12 shooting with seven boards in the win over Harding, and had 24 points on 10 of 19 shooting with 12 boards in the loss to South.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] of Tartan (Soph). Wilson had 18 points leading Tartan to a huge win over Maple Grove. A win that has put Tartan as the unquestioned second ranked team in Class AAAA basketball looking like the top challenger to Wayzata. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2416947' first='Ayden' last='Green'] of Minnehaha Academy (Jr). Ayden had 19 points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds in a win over Hiawatha and then scored a team high 15 points in a three score loss to one of the top teams in the state (Richfield). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2417091' first='Isiah' last='Boyer'] of Becker (Jr). A 30 point game with nine rebounds going head to head Wright was one of the items to watch at this event. Also had a 12 point game in the Harding win. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Third Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2412724' first='Dre' last='Collins'] of Richfield (Jr). Had a 24 point, 11 rebound game in the opening night win but was not able to play in the Minnehaha Academy game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>J'dan Stevens of Austin (Sr). The Packer guard was the player of the game in the blowout win over Twin Cities Academy and he scored 15 points in the blowout win over Como Park giving Austin a 5-3 record on the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2120500' first='Eli' last='Moseman'] of St. Paul Central (Sr). Led Central to a pair of wins over the weekend and he was named the Player of the Game in the win over Armstrong. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2569257' first='Marcus' last='Marshall'] Jr of Maranatha Christian Academy (Jr). MCA split their games in the CCC and Marshall led the team in scoring with 43 combined in the two games. They beat Twin Cities Academy, lost to Southwest Christian. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Fourth Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2447536' first='Jed' last='Streed'] of Southwest Christian (Sr). It was just one game but it was a big one from the up and coming Streed who scored 27 points in the win over MCA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560739' first='Max' last='Iversen'] of Maple Grove (Sr). And 18 point, five rebound, six assist game against Mayo and a dozen points game in the loss to Tartan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2710243' first='Sefi' last='Whittington'] of St. Paul Central (Sr). Whittington led Central in scoring as the player of the game in their win over Rogers, Central went 2-0 for the weekend. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2133222' first='Elliot' last='Myszkowski'] of Rochester Mayo (Jr).The Mayo junior was the top scorer for Mayo in a pair of losses to top ten Class AAAA teams. Elliot had 20 against Maple Grove and 19 in the loss to Farmington.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
