Sefi helped lead Central to a win over undefeated St. Paul Johnson on Thursday night, and was hitting some tough shots in the process. He got hot early on in the game, helping his team establish a comfortable lead heading into halftime. If Sefi got even a foot of space he was pulling up and knocking down a mid-range jumper with a hand right in his face. Central has a number of options who can step up on any given night, and on Thursday it was Sefi coming up with big plays in a win.

to form one of the best 1-2 punches in St. Paul. With Eli having a lot of success penetrating off the dribble and forcing the defense to collapse, Sefi was left in space to catch-and-shoot. The 6′ sharpshooter is able to stretch the floor from three, but also has a nice one dribble pull-up from mid-range to beat bad closeouts. Look for him to help Central once again be in the mix for a conference title this winter.

Sefi has been a big addition to the St. Paul Central team this season, giving them a big boost of scoring with his 15.4 points per game. He was right around that average again on Saturday, with 16 against SSP. Sefi is Central’s shooter, and always seems to have his hands and feet ready to catch and get a shot off from beyond the arc. Quick release on his shot allows him to beat the closeout as well. He does a great job of just floating into pockets of space looking for a kickout pass when

Sefi is having a breakout junior season for Central, giving them a dangerous trio of guards. Whereas Lankfard is able to get to the rim and bully defenders, Sefi is more of a floor stretcher with a smooth jumper from beyond the arc. Against Como Park on Wednesday he did a nice job of relocating off the ball, finding pockets of space to catch and shoot when one of his teammates penetrated. Hit 8 threes in a game earlier this season against a tough Byron team.
