Allan was making it look effortless at times, scoring 25 points in a comfortable win over South St. Paul. He’s one of those players who doesn’t need to dribble much to get his shots off, mixing in shot-fakes and jab steps to get defenders off balance, before attacking the opposite direction. Finished in a variety of ways at the rim, hit a pair of mid-range jumpers, and showcased comfortable range from beyond the arc. I thought he did a great job of throwing the ball ahead in transition as well, leading to a few easy buckets for his team. Allan keeps things simple, and always seems to produce for his St. Paul Central team.

Lankfard became the new all-time career scoring leader at St. Paul Central on Wednesday night, leading his team to a win over Como Park in the process. Last season’s City Conference POTY is a physical guard who can simply bully opposing guards around the basket. His strong frame allows him to take his man off the dribble and just keep him pinned on his hip, or Allan can go into the paint off the ball and establish deep post position leading to some easy scores. Showed a smooth jumper from three as well, knocking down a shot from the corner to officially break the school record.
