Briggs flashed the type of shooting touch you rarely see in guys 6’8-6’9. You could argue he’s the best three point shooter on D1 Minnesota this season, and it showed with his performances over the weekend. Particularly against Chapman Academy North, Briggs had defenders chasing him all over the perimeter and he just found ways to get into pockets of space and connect from three. Comfortable catching on the move and quickly getting squared up to get his shot off.

You don’t find a lot of guys at 6’9 with the perimeter skillset that Briggs possesses. Minnetonka started off defending him with their 6’7-6’8 big, but after Briggs drained an early three over him, they were forced to defend him with a smaller wing who could stick with him on the perimeter. Tonka threw a number of defenders on him, but Briggs still found space for a few threes, was going to work in the post on smaller defenders, and had a couple of nice passes off the dribble to set up his teammates. He capped off the win with an alley-oop dunk in transition.
