[program_tooltip program_id='2078448' first='Illinois' last='Wolves'] 14U Members Continue July Momentum

The PHI staff got a look at the [program_tooltip program_id='2078448' first='Illinois' last='Wolves'] 2029 group playing up at the 15U level in July at a couple of tournaments. Going against players their own age they flexed their muscles as some of the best prospects in the gym. Lyons guard Quinn Carroll might have been the most dominant performer at the camp. He scored at will from all three levels and made unbelievable reads as a passer. Such a bright future. [player_tooltip player_id='2917035' first='Mosiah' last='Tang'] is a home schooled guard who brings tremendous speed to the table breaking down a defense and scoring in the heart of the lane. Up front [player_tooltip player_id='2536509' first='Declan' last='Wilson'] is a long and rangy power forward from Burlington Central that screams upside! Projectable frame along with an inside/outside game and defensive versatility. [player_tooltip player_id='2798656' first='Zach' last='Newman'] out of Deerfield is a big five man that plays with touch and feel around the hoop along with excellent area rebounding and outlet passing.

Tons of Talent and Depth at PG/Combo Guard

Per usual early in the process it is the guards who first emerge. There were a ton that played well on Sunday. Whitney Young guard [player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='Travis' last='Jamison'] brings great size already on the perimeter with a feathery stroke from deep. Also is a smooth ball handler and creator for others with his passing. Kumasi Jones of DePaul Prep rally opened eyes with his two way ability at the guard spot as a rangy skilled guard with three level scoring. Chadwick Williams from Providence Catholic was another one of the breakout players of the day. Lefty combo guard gets after it defensively moving his feet and was a lethal scorer off the bounce with spin moves. Also shot it well from three in 5 on 5. [player_tooltip player_id='2862587' first='Dajuan' last='Brown'] is a well built combo guard from Bradley Bourbonnais who is known for his scoring prowess which he showed off knocking in some deep balls. [player_tooltip player_id='2918202' first='Kaden' last='McClellan'] is a guard from Bloom that can get to the rim along with being a good passer making decisions on the fly. [player_tooltip player_id='2385677' first='Noah' last='Young'] from Lincoln Park is a smaller guard that has the “it” factor and plays with swagger. Shifty ball handler that pushes tempo, passes it, and has a high IQ.

Intriguing Wings from Chicago with Physical Games

There were a couple wings that caught our attention. [player_tooltip player_id='2369925' first='Evan' last='Lemons'] is a well built shooting guard from St. Laurence with good strength. He can really shoot the rock from the perimeter pouring them in one after another. [player_tooltip player_id='2922280' first='Jalonny' last='Billingsley'] from Simeon totally looks the part. Strong frame, burst to the rim, and big-time athleticism. Got to the line quite a bit.

Versatile Forwards to Track

Here we look at a trio of forwards that made a case to be included in our initial watch list with a strong day. [player_tooltip player_id='2458171' first='Riley' last='Walson'] is a 6'3” small forward from St. Patrick's that has the looks of a prospect that will continue to grow with his projectable frame. Shined in transition, hit the glass, and can knock down a shot. [player_tooltip player_id='2389066' first='Miles' last='Marabella'] is a 6'4” small forward that can handle and create his own shot off the bounce and with the jumper. The Rockford Guilford forward has some pop around the hoop and plays with good instincts. Rebounds well in his area.
