Expert Analysis
Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
Scrappy quick twitch guard from Lincoln Park with advanced shot creation and legitimate 3 level scoring ability. Don’t mistake his size for his game. Young brings a diverse set of skills offensively on a tight yet shifty handle. Utilizes a variety of space separators such as in and out dribbles, step-backs, spin moves, and change of pace movements to generate clean looks from all 3 levels. Young gets downhill for efficient floaters and runners over more size. He uses his agility to consistently beat defenses down the floor for transition looks. His all around showing in the team’s first game of the day was one of the most impressive I saw as he continued to impress throughout the rest of the day with the same contributions.

Young was my favorite Class of 2029 player to watch. He’s a total snake in the grass – at 5’8, he doesn’t seem like a threat, but then he’ll bite you over and over again. His midrange game is special and his confidence as a shooter popped, even and especially against taller competition. Young is one of those kids where every shot he takes, you say “Nooo, don’t take that!” but it somehow goes in every time. He keeps the defense honest and while offensive generation is Young’s bread and butter, he also flashed as a two-way player. Right now, his floor is a star on a D3 squad and his ceiling is significantly higher.

Young is a smaller lead guard who plays with a ton of flair for the game! He is a creative passer that gets others involved while also being a quality shooter in his own right. After getting some experience last season look for him to make a big jump as the starting PG for Lincoln Park.

Crafty ball-handler from Lincoln Park. Showcases elite dribble moves and loves to create his own shot to on top of that. A prospect that never seems to lose confidence.

Young is a prospect we had heard about from Steve Parham and our guy was on point again. He is small at only 5’7”, but can really play! He was one of the headiest players at the event. Made excellent reads with the ball as a passer. Scrappy guard that pushes the tempo and is a shifty ball handler. Going to see minutes as a freshman for Lincoln Park.

| Cics Irving Park | AyoDos Elite – 5’4
Young ran with AyoDos Elite over the summer months. He returns to Cics Irving Park for school. At camp Young showed off a quick first step with the ball in his hands. He also proved to be a capable shooter against a sagging defender. His ability to pressure the ball was impactful for team 10.
