We've recapped the major news and notes on Ohio's 2025 class that's headed to the Division I and Division II levels and now recap what you need to know about the Division III commits. We except a lot more commits to happen over the next month or so as these schools typically recruit later into the spring compared to other Division's.

Mount Union snags top ranked recruit

Mount Union has historically been one of the top Division III programs in the region and our top ranked Division III commit at the moment is [player_tooltip player_id='2419927' first='Landon' last='Lear'] of West Geauga and [program_tooltip program_id='2078667' first='TNBA' last='']. A lefty guard who can really shoot it from the outside, I think Lear has the potential to be an All-OAC type player. Another highly ranked commit for Mount Union is Massillon Jackson's [player_tooltip player_id='2373022' first='Cam' last='Weekley'].

Otterbein secures large early commitment class

Otterbein has a large group of 2025 commits already as [player_tooltip player_id='2052128' first='Dominic' last='Theado'], [player_tooltip player_id='1675747' first='Carter' last='Piatt-Brown'], [player_tooltip player_id='1943267' first='Jackson' last='McNulty'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1617848' first='Landon' last='Johnson'] have all already announced they'll be Cardinals. McNulty is the lone prospect coming from outside of central Ohio as the Cardinals have done an excellent job keeping local talent over the past few seasons.

NCAC powerhouses with early splashes

Wooster made a bunch of noise early in the season with a strong core of Ohio prospects and they added to their in-state talent with [player_tooltip player_id='2304813' first='Thai' last='Duncan']. Denison won the NCAC regular season and tournament title and they keep bringing in winners like state champion [player_tooltip player_id='2381886' first='Ellis' last='Appiah'] and Dayton Oakwood guard [player_tooltip player_id='2458944' first='Luke' last='Rubin'], the younger brother of Darren Rubin who scored over 1,000 points for the Big Red.

Garfield Heights duo off to Hilbert

Garfield Heights has done an excellent job sending players to all levels and [player_tooltip player_id='2434202' first='Braylin' last='Sullivan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2719965' first='Ari' last='Jones'] will both attend Hilbert College next season in New York.

Indiana schools continue to prioritize Ohio talent

[player_tooltip player_id='2323147' first='Evan' last='Gentile'] has been one of the top scorers in the GWOC over the past few seasons and he's headed to Rose Hulman in Terre Haute Indiana, one of the top engineering programs in the country. State champion [player_tooltip player_id='1617855' first='Nolan' last='Fedak'] is headed to Trine, the 2024 NCAA Division III national champions.

Small Division Guards finding homes

[player_tooltip player_id='1958384' first='Jayce' last='Rothwell'] of North Adams is staying in Ohio as he's committed to Mount St Joseph in Cincinnati while [player_tooltip player_id='2082034' first='Theo' last='Falkenhain'] of Columbus Academy is going to Bates in Maine. VASJ sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='2438772' first='Sean' last='Shenker'] is off to Olivet College in Michigan.

We've recapped the major news and notes on Ohio's 2025 class that's headed to the Division I and Division II levels and now recap what you need to know about the Division III commits. We except a lot more commits to happen over the next month or so as these schools typically recruit later into the spring compared to other Division's.
