The Bates pledge had a big shooting night hitting shots from deep at crucial moments in the game to breakaway from Margaretta’s (OH) late surges. He had three 3 pointers and finished with 14 points. He was perfect from the foul line. I like how he never really got sped up and stayed within himself. Falkenhain showed he can get to different spots off the bounce going coast to coast.

Falkenhain was phenomenal. He showed to be a true all-around basketball player. He got going in transition but had some sneaky bounce and finishing at the rim. Then they started to help off of him in the half court and he made them pay. He knocked down multiple 3s. He showed great touch in the paint. I loved the leadership he showed today. He is consistently talking to his teammates. Falkenhain has a high basketball IQ. He plays winning basketball. He plays hard on both ends and impressed me today with his defense. He provided great on-ball pressure.

Fallkenhain provided a spark in a supportive role for Columbus Academy. He chipped in easy shots and let the game come to him. He did a good job of moving the ball. Falkenhain added 8 points and was able to score at the foul line. He is a good value pickup at the small college level.

Columbus Academy had an impressive season last winter and their young talent makes 2023-24 an exciting opportunity for them to take that next step. I caught Falkenhain at the 270 Hoops prospect camp and was impressed with his feel for the game. A quick processor with the ball in his hands, Falkenhain was getting the ball to his teammates quickly and on the money. Also capable of making it rain from the outside, expect a couple scoring explosions from Falkenhain this winter.
