OHSAA Division I Preseason Rankings: 1-3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The OHSAA Basketball season tips off in just a few weeks and it's the final preseason team rankings article we are posting to get fans ready for the OHSAA season. In this article we'll break down the top three teams in Division I from our preseason rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">1. Olentangy Orange</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After losing in the regional final two straight years, I have Olentangy Orange at number one in my preseason rankings this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1480848' first='Devin' last='Brown'] has established himself as one of the most impactful players in the state and the Pioneers have an excellent core of multi-sport athletes with [player_tooltip player_id='2373419' first='Keegan' last='Knupp'], [player_tooltip player_id='1535701' first='Levi' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2621329' first='Treyton' last='Schroeder'] helping the charge. I believe this is the year they break through and get to Dayton.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2. Toledo Whitmer</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Having elite guards is a huge benefit in the high school game and Whitmer might have the best backcourt in the state. With [player_tooltip player_id='1432018' first='Antione' last='West Jr'], [player_tooltip player_id='1432039' first='Makhi' last='Leach'] and breakout candidate [player_tooltip player_id='2309692' first='Andre' last='Young III'], I think the Panthers have an excellent chance to make it back to Dayton after losing in the final four last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. Reynoldsburg</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On paper, I think Reynoldsburg has the most talent in the state. 2025 MAC commits [player_tooltip player_id='1432037' first='Toby' last='Nwokolo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1432017' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] headline the roster that includes [player_tooltip player_id='1705956' first='Xavier' last='McKinney'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1705958' first='Jorden' last='Bowens'] in the 2026 class. Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1475111' first='Damon' last='Griffin'] was a huge addition last season and the Raiders have depth in other spots with talented athletes and size. The Raiders have the talent to win it all this season and a grueling regular season schedule should have them prepared for a deeper playoff run than last season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
