Olentangy Orange gave CIA Bella Vista a great game and Davis was the leading scorer for the pioneers. A quick athlete, Davis has the ability to score in transition and beat his defender off the dribble. A crafty finisher as well, Davis had a couple scoop layups and could finish off two feet. One of the top quarterbacks in Ohio’s 2026 class, Davis is also a standout on the hardwood as well for an Olentangy Orange squad that has state title hopes.

Another one of the top dual sport athletes in central Ohio’s 2026 class, Davis is elite on the gridiron and continues to perform on the hardwood. A guard who has the quickness to get into the paint while also the ability to knock down open perimeter shots, Davis was productive as a scorer. Olentangy Orange plays an unselfish brand of basketball and Davis fits right in with a couple drop off passes and extra skips to shooters. If the Pioneers are going to get over the hump and win the central region, they’ll need Davis to continue to play at a high level.

Davis showed a ton of growth this year not as much with his skillset but with confidence and just taken a step up in his role. He became a better defender, rebounder, and shooter along with some other small skills that made his impact on winning larger than last season. He has gotten more athletic and can see that with his effortless bounce and ability to float to the rim. He is stronger and finishes through contact well. His shot is smooth as ever. He can guard any top guard in the state due to his length. He is just a winner.

A balanced scoring attack for Olentangy Orange saw a balanced scoring output with three players in double figures and Davis with seven points. He had the loudest two points of the game when he had a monster and-1 slam dunk that got the Pioneer faithful on their feet. A quick first step, Davis is able to get into the lane and score at the rim. A football first prospect, it’s impressive how many ways Davis impacts the game and the high IQ he plays with. Already getting FBS offers as a quarterback, Davis received an offer from Miami (OH) the day following the district title win on the hardwood.

Davis seems to be getting confident in his scoring ability right now. He always did the dirty work and little things well and still does. He makes great hustle plays on both ends of the floor. His athleticism and length allow him to be a great defender who can guard anyone. He is a good rebounder and is always everywhere on the court it seems. Davis now seems to be a confident shooter and putting points on the board. This was always something he added to his bag this season but it shinned through on Wednesday night. He was knocking down threes confidently. Looking for his shot. Adding another shooter around

A multi-sport stud, Davis had a monster season on the gridiron and has continued his rise on the hardwood. An old school point guard who flat out helps you win games, Davis has shown increased confidence as a ball handler and creator. When I watched him in January, he made a couple plays off the bounce that I didn’t think he was able to as a freshman, clearly showing his growth as a player. Olentangy Orange has continued to find ways to win and a lot of that has to be credited to the play of their backcourt with Davis helping run the show for one of the most efficient offenses in the area. A big-time football recruit don’t sleep on Davis ability to make things happen on the hardwood as well.

Davis has a much bigger role this year for Orange and is playing in it very well. He is a slasher who makes the right plays. He is constantly putting pressure on the rim. His length is something that helps on both ends. It allows him to cover up a lot of the floor on defense. He finishes around the rim really well. He makes a great winning impact on the game.

Davis’s basketball maturity is years ahead. This freshman plays varsity for one of the top teams in the state and is a star in his role. Davis showed to be way more confident this past weekend than he was earlier in the year. He played a lot in a very short rotation for Orange. He knocked down open shots but never forced them. Always made the right play and extra pass. He plays very hard on both ends and plays bigger than he is. Showed a ton of heart. Displayed that you don’t have to be scoring 20 points to help your team win a game. He impacts the game in many different ways. He is exactly what you want a freshman to do on a senior-led team.
