Hanna was arguably the top performer I saw on Saturday morning and gets the featured image to headline this article because of his play. A skilled guard, Hanna got to his spots off the dribble and confidently rose up to score. Able to change pace and direction with ease, Hanna got where he wanted to off the dribble and rose up for easy buckets. Hanna also displayed his advanced ability to finish with his left hand at the rim. One of the top guards in central Ohio’s 2029 class, Hanna has the opportunity to burst onto the scene in the OCC as Olentangy Orange’s primary ball handler and decision maker.

At the end of the camp when most players were running on empty, Hanna was still dominating the competition as he was making shots on the perimeter, blowing by tired defenders, hitting runners at the rim, going coast to coast to score the ball, Hanna was dominant in the final stretches of 5 on 5 action, showing how well in shape of a guard he is. On an Olentangy Orange team that’s less than two years removed from winning the Division I state title, expectations are still high for the Pioneers and Hanna will play a major role as a primary perimeter ball handler and scorer next to Division I commit Grant Miller Grant Miller 6'8" | PF/SF Olentangy Orange | 2027 State OH in the paint.

Olentangy Orange has a rich tradition at the guard position and Hanna looks like their next star from that position. Hanna displays impressive pace and feel for the game and shoots it at a high level from beyond the arc. On a Pioneers team that lacks experience heading into next season, Hanna could be a primary ball handler and decision maker for one of the top programs in central Ohio. A lot of responsibility for a young guard but Hanna has the poise and offensive skill to keep the Pioneers competitive in the toughest OCC Division in the central Ohio.

Hanna did a nice job of mixing simple drive and finishes with flashy moves to beat the defender. One of the highest scorers at the camp, Hanna just found buckets either as a spot-up 3-point shooter or slasher to the rim. Maybe Hanna’s best current skill is his ability to handle the ball with defenders swarming him, Hanna could dribble through traffic quickly having the confidence to challenge defenders on drives to the rim. One of the more polished guards I’ve seen in central Ohio’s 2029 class.
