Miller was a standout all weekend long for Ohio Buckets EYCL 17u as they advanced to the finals of the top bracket. The versatile 6’8″ forward showed off his wide array of skills against some great competition. He can attack closeouts off of the dribble, use his size to score around the basket, and stretch the floor as a shooting threat. The left-handed forward led the way with 16 points in an impressive win over Indiana Elite 3SSB 17u.

Miller is a high-level forward. He has great length and explosiveness. He has a great second jump and can block any shot and grab any rebound. He does both of these at a high level throughout the entirety of the game. He does not try to do anything outside of his game. He is great in the dunker position on offense. Grabs a ton of offensive rebounds for Orange. He plays with a competitive edge and energy. He seems to be all over the floor on both ends. Huge impact on the game.

I got to see Olentangy Orange twice this weekend, on Saturday at Capital and on Monday at the Convention Center. Miller really stood out in this tight victory, the first of the season for the defending state champions. Miller knocked down three 3-pointers, a key skill for him to show this season. Finishing above the rim numerous times, Miller threw down some powerful two hand jams on Monday. While the lefty forward does favor his dominant hand, he hit a sweet righty reverse layup in both games I caught of his this weekend. One of the more talented forwards in Ohio’s 2027 class, Miller and the Pioneers will be a team to watch in the second half of the season when they finally gel.

A major stock riser this summer, Miller seems to get more comfortable each time I watch him play and earned his first offer from Ohio University after strong weekends during the June live periods with defending OHSAA Division I state champion Olentangy Orange. Miller also had a big game against Vegas Elite in a Peach Jam qualifying game with multiple buckets against the top ranked center in the country. Expect Miller to continue to add to his offers if he plays how he did in June during the high school season.

The new addition to the squad, Miller had some bright moments including a couple buckets on a five star center. When Miller can get downhill with his left hand and extend at the rim, he’s very tough to stop. Miller made a couple players where it looked like he was one of the better athletes on the floor, showcasing his physical tools. Really glad Miller has found his stride as he will be a key contributor for Olentangy Orange this season and is one of the top stock risers in Ohio this summer.

Miller had his best weekend of basketball of his entire career and is my biggest stock riser from Ohio after this weekend. Looking dominant on both ends of the court, all the flashes I’ve seen from Miller were on display in quick succession. Miller started the game with two early 3-pointers, blocked a shot and had a couple monster dunks as well. In the second half in a tight game, Miller had multiple and-1 finishes with his back to the basket and also used the up and under to get past a rim protector. Exciting to see a prospect with as much talent as Miller start to put it all together.

Miller is one of my favorite players to watch. He does not make a ton of highlight plays besides the dunks, but he is so important to your team. You have to play him a ton because he does things others cannot. He is a great rim protector and grabs a ton of board on both sides of the floor. He does not need the ball much and scores well. He is great with second-chance points and in the jump-off spot. Miller is a player anyone would want on their team immediately.

One of the top prospects at the team camp, Miller showed his impressive skillset as an athletic forward who finished above the rim and had a handful of blocks. Miller still needs to make some physical development by adding weight but has started to do so in the past few months. With a ton of production graduating from a state title team, Miller is now one of the go-to options for Olentangy Orange and he produced at a high level on Monday. With his physical frame and athleticism, Miller is a potential Division I target in central Ohio’s 2027 class.

One of the highest upside 2027 prospects in central Ohio, Miller is looking more confident after getting his feet under him after battling sickness in his Sophomore season of high school basketball, under the radar prospect who could breakout this winter.

Miller is a player you want on your team right now. He is a great modern-day forward with his size and vertical ability. He has great leaping ability with a quick second jump. He explodes up and is a monster on the rim. He grabs a ton of boards and alters a ton of shots if he doesn’t block him. He makes strong moves to the basket. He gets to the rim and finishes strong.
