One of the bigger sleepers in Ohio, Kirura was a prospect I knew I had to carve out time to watch him during Midwest Live and I left very impressed with how well-rounded his game was. Kirura has excellent positional size for a wing who can also play as a primary creator for himself and others. Showing the ability to attack a closeout or operate as a pick and roll ball handler, Kirura could be used in multiple ways to get to spots on the court where he could score. Defensively, Kirura has the frame to be an impactful defender as he had a couple blocks and steals in the first game I saw him play. I expect Kirura to become a name regional low to mid major schools closely monitor his development as it is hard to find wings with his athleticism and ball skills.

A new name that I caught for the first time on Saturday evening, Kirura did a little bit of everything for his team. A strong framed wing who can dribble, pass and shoot, Kirura knocked down a couple contested pull-up jumpers, made some impressive passes and helped run the offense as the primary facilitator. A bit of an unknown around Ohio, Kirura certainly helped put his name on the map for a Genoa Christian squad that could surprise some folks in central Ohio this season.

Kirura is a great athlete and rebounder. He runs the floor hard in transition and can finish around the basket through contact. He drained multiple shots from 3-point range as well. He crashes the boards on both ends and converts offensive rebounds to points at a high rate.
