One of the best pure shooters in Ohio, Creager hit some insane shots to keep Ohio Buckets competitive for the entire duration of the game Vs a top 3SSB program. Creager doesn’t need much time or space to fire away and his soft touch on 3-pointers allows him to get friendly rolls at the rim many shoots never get. If you don’t have a hand up or are bothering Creager when he catches the ball, he is capable of knocking down shots in your face. While his shooting will get him noticed, Creager does have a solid frame and decent positional size that should allow him to develop into a capable defender at the Division I level as well.

Creager picked up a D1 offer from Toledo this summer, and this shows the type of talent this player has. He is as solid as they come with great size and athleticism. He can do anything you ask him to do on the court. He is an elite perimeter defender and has the strength to switch onto any position. He has a great offensive game that allows him to score on any level. He has a really good pull-up jumper. He is efficient with his shot attempts, and he never forces. He has a great IQ and is a player who does not make mistakes.

Another Ohio Buckets 16 U prospect with an offer from a MAC powerhouse, Creager was offered by Toledo in June following the contact period going live. Creager is one of the top shooters in Ohio and has the confidence to keep firing away and making shots even if he doesn’t hit his first couple of a game. That type of mentality is so crucial for elite shooters because everybody will go through a slump, but Creager can shoot his way out of a slump in a hurry. Excited to see what Patrick Henry can show for an encore this winter after going 21-0 in the regular season last season with Creager leading the charge, this year he’ll be without his older brother who is now playing football at Northwestern.

One of the most improved players in Ohio’s 2027 class, Creager’s hard work has paid off on the court with continued production. One of the top small town players in northwest Ohio as just a Sophomore, Creager has turned his attention to the Ohio Buckets 16 U squad which has impressed on the EYBL circuit this spring and Creager is the teams leading scorer according to the official EYBL website. With Creager’s shooting ability, basketball IQ and improved athleticism alongside his positional size and work ethic, he’s a player I want to bet on continuing to improve and produce for any team he plays for.

I don’t think there are many more improved players in Ohio’s 2027 class from last year to this year than Creager. A hard worker who has taken a leap athletically by getting stronger and quicker, Creager had some tough finishes in transition to score through contact. An elite shooter on the perimeter, Creager knocked down three straight 3-pointers in the first half against Utah Gold and maybe his best shot of the game came when he dribbled off a pick and roll, put the defender in jail before rising up for a pull-up jumper. During our next rankings update, Creager will continue to climb the ranks.

A player I caught during the playoffs and I noticed a significant improvement in his confidence and athletic ability. Those two areas of his game continued to shine as Creager was getting busy on the perimeter by creating quick one to two dribble pull-up jumpers and floaters and Creager certainly doesn’t pass up open 3-point shots very often. With a ton of high feel players and floor spacing, Creager and the rest of his team generate a bunch of open looks and on Sunday Creager happened to be the guy who finished those looks with buckets over and over again. Establishing himself as a potential Division I prospect, Creager will be one of a few names on Ohio Buckets 16 U who college coaches will look to get their eyes on during live periods this summer.

I was impressed with Creager in Patrick Henry’s lone defeat this season which came in the playoffs against Lima Central Catholic. Creager does an excellent job handling the ball for his high school team, being the primary creator off the dribble for them. A knockdown shooter who can spot up or run off screen actions, Creager has the size and shooting ability that college coaches look for in a wing guard. When you add in the fact Creager’s aunt is the all-time leading scoring for Patrick Henry girls’ basketball and his brother Lincoln is the all-time leading scorer for the boys’ basketball team and Reid has no choice but to be a hooper.

I’ve been really impressed with the consistent improvements Creager has made over the past 12 months, making significant leaps since I first watched him. More confident on the ball as a creator and taking a leap as an athlete, I’m very high on Creager’s long term upside. Reid’s older brother Lincoln set the Patrick Henry all time scoring record in his final game, passing their aunt in the process. Look for Reid to debut in our 2027 rankings when they are next updated later this month!

A wing guard who can make shots and has a good frame for a player his age, Creager gets it done on Friday’s in the Fall and all throughout the week in the winter. I left most impressed with Creager’s frame and perimeter shooting ability but am curious to see what he looks like at the high school level with the ball in his hands more. I also thought he didn’t play scared as he drew a handful of fouls with his aggressiveness on the court. A name to know in rural northwest Ohio’s 2027 class.
